(maybe whenever an "urchin" is about to lose power, it quickly drops any items within its gear/backpack storage, before dying? that could be a good fix)

btw here is an example screenshot to show you the items they collected but had no way of getting them out. (maybe there could be a way for those 2 buttons drop/strip or strip/drop to always instantly drop the items if clicked on?)

hi veltaris, this mod is really cool and very useful too :o)
if you have a moment, could you have a quick look here to see in case this bug can possibly be fixed for the agrurchins at all?

(basically when they have any gear, it gets stuck in their inventory and when they die from power loss, the items they collected get stuck and are lost - i can dev mode them back in but just wondering if anything can be done? - so far i disabled the "allow mechs" option in the Harvest and Haul mod here:

Yes, they can build. Check the worktypes in the infocard of the consturchin. If construction is missing then one of your other mods is probably removing it (or splitting the job and forgetting to enable them for mechs again).

Works on its own, so its probably a modconflict. Without any errorlog there is nothing I can do.

This mod causes pawns to not spawn at all when generating a new game with devtest or even normally.

Probably a conflict with another mod, considering that no one else has reported such an issue, but its whatever, I'll disable this mod for the time being.

There is a setting for it. Check the urchin-Tab on the work queen.

Not by default. It is set up in a way that it will only check for the urchins which it can also produce.

That mod is just removing corpses for war urchins. My mod does not touch war urchins, so there is no interaction between them.

That is already a thing. As long as she has a work mode that allows her to haul, she can devour depleted urchins on her own (in her allowed area).

Also pls 1.6 , seem that 1.6 changed sth related to urchin spawn , work queen now can not correctly spawn any work urchin.

Awesome. I noticed the urchins have their own area settings. Would it be possible to provide a switch that keeps the urchins' area settings always in sync with the queen's settings?

Another of your mods is changing that.
Someone else already had this issue -> 'Pick Up And Haul' was forbidding it.
They said its a setting: 'allow putting corpses into inventory'

I have to check where that behaivior is decided, but that is not a priority for me right now.

Something I've noticed is that consturchins do not apply the style of your ideology when they build stuff and just use the default one, not sure if it's intended.

Yes, when spawned by the work queen the urchins also get any workspeed buffs the queen has. But other than that the urchins are the same.

If I'm understanding it right the urchins spawned by the work queen herself are better then the urchins spawned by the upgrades right?

I'm using this scenario every run, so it should work on its own.
Are you using something to change the way you arrive by any chance ( e.g. character editor/ prepare carefully)? Those mods might be unrelated - its purely guessing on my part, as the arrival logic is mostly custom made, I don't really know how another mod would break that.

I agree, cooking is kind of missing in this mod, although it is a bit weird to add.
The queen itself does not really look like she could or should do cooking jobs.
And for urchins its also a bit weird to spawn 3 as most players only have 2 places for them to work (stove and butcher table).

has anybody tested the starting scenario? i have a huge f modlist so im guessing i have an incompatiblity going on but neither the queen nor the starting colonist spawn in upon starting the colony. other scenarios in my modlist are fine so idk

The game crashed and directly flashed back when I was building robots in the Queen's Manufactory for the second time.

So, I loaded up a game and made the queen, and when I tried to have her make the little children, the game crashed...I dunno, there was no error message the game just crashed. Please fix!

I've manage to pinpoint the issue and it's surprisingly Pick Up And Haul. Everything else works fine, it just the corpses that get ignored for some reason.

I have not made any changes to the hauling behavior.
Are you using a mod which splits jobs/worktypes into more smaller jobs?
These mods tend to forget to allow the newly split work types for mechs.

Love the mod, I just recently discovered that my Carrurchins don't seem to haul corpses. Is that an intended feature or a mod conflict I am having?
