Cyan, this map is so gorgeous, and calming. I really love this map, I was on this map for 11 hours, and there are so many things to do while playing it. I really love Liminal Sublimity.

I'm thinking of doing a small update to celebrate over 20,000 concurrent subscribers by making the puzzles a little clearer, reverting the map to use stock soundscapes, adding fog and maybe adding a room.
Also entirely unrelated but you all should try the game Kitten Burst, it's a really special game (not made by me)

I've entered the hidden room, explored and didnt notice the mirror. Then I went to the buttons, then did notice the mirror and thought it was another room. So i walk towards it and jumpscared myself by seeing myself-

soundscapes are whitelisted to be packed via bspzip iirc, it does only allow scripts/sounscapes*.txt i think

I hear you, but it's hard to know where to start when I don't experience the problem. Not even when running the map with a fresh install on another PC that rules out anything in the garrysmod/ folder. There are a few things I could try regarding finding out if a specific location in the map causes problems or specific workshop addons causing the problem with this map specifically, but I'd need hours of time from someone that is experiencing the problem for that, and there is no guarantee it would uncover the cause of the problem.

perhaps looking a bit further into why the map seems to turn off HDR after loading the first time might help.

The map only has HDR lighting, so if you have HDR turned off then there will be no lighting. If you have HDR on and still no lighting, then some users have found turning HDR off then on can fix it.

hey, idk if people already mentioned this, but the lighting seems broken, it's like fullbright is constantly on with no way to disable it. it's a really big issue as it not only removes the atmosphere but also makes some geometry hard to see as the textures are mostly the same

it seems to only affect drgbase npc anytime i go up any stairs the stop following me i have to get really close for them keep chassing me. sry it took me awhile to respond.

Not much, they are just supposed to make a complete ambient music piece when you put them together in the same place, but there are bugs with the Source engine and it doesn't work properly. Maybe it could be fixed with Lua but I'm not a Lua programmer and don't know anyone that is.

SmolPotatoTv: Worked with the ones I tried. Do you remember if it happened with specific staircases or was it all of them? Behaviour will likely be different between nextbots and NPCs.

TheUltimateDemon: They are "activated" and moved into the map in specific locations after you visit the 4 QR codes

Lucario: No idea why that would be happening, did you happen to see any errors in the console that could be related to lighting?

Read the discussion "How to get into the hidden room?", but in short you have to visit 4 QR codes and jump down a well in a dark room with blue tiles and pillars that can only be reached by crouching through a low ceiling tunnel with water in or noclipping

There are two rooms outside the map that i can't get to by normal means, and i feel like I'm missing something but i don't know. And what's the deal with these diamonds outside the map as well.

Going to guess there was no error message because you say there was any, so I can only guess. Would recommend disabling workshop addons but then you wouldn't have the map. So the only things I can think of to try are:
1. Make sure you are not running any beta or 64-bit version of Garry's Mod
2. If you have the infmap addon, try running the map without that
3. If you have gmod_mcore_test set to 1, try setting it to 0 then starting the map

They are just from the Portal soundtrack, you can extract them from the Portal .vpk file if you own Portal. You would need to download GCFScape or some newer alternative. Then, right click it in your Steam library, select "Manage -> Browse Local Files" on Portal, go into the portal folder, find portal_pak_dir.vpk, they will be in there in the music folder.

Yeah that was me lmao, half didn't expect anyone to notice.
I think the problem is most likely that buildcubemaps does not work when you run it on a server/rcon directly. You probably have to copy the .bsp onto your client PC, open the map there, run buildcubemaps then copy it back onto the server.
I have no idea why cubemaps would be broken on the server side anyway as I don't believe there was ever a version of this map on the workshop that was missing cubemaps.
I think renaming the .bsp file can also break cubemaps but it didn't seem like you did that.

This might just be coincidence, but a player named Cyan joined my server running this map and said to Buildcubemaps. However when i try this I get this error: "BuildCubemaps: No map loaded!"

This is a dedicated server from HostHavoc. If you are aware on how to make this possible i will do it.

Best Gmod map I have seen so far, everything is perfect, the atmosphere; lightings, soundtracks, textures, structures... And the feeling is immaculate, as if you were in a structure of the future, abandonned. This map, unlike the original gm_poolrooms, gives a real feeling of being small compared to the environment we are trapped in. It's really my type of thing, the only remark I could make is the water cutting into a line on the edge on the walls when the light reflects on it and the fading darkness not fooling anyone. By example the tree on the pillar, you can see it just cuts and doesn't look like its fading into the void. Same for the exit of the slide.

Done, but I don't know how well it will work as I have nothing to test it with and no interest in nextbots or manual nav mesh editing. It's possible there will be problems with the areas with "death" pits.
