For those asking about Boss Mode:
It's something I'd like to do (same goes for some other characters I've made, though Marx boss is particularly requested), much like how I'd also like to make more Final Smashes.
But much like Final Smashes, Boss Mode is a lot of work so only time will tell, haha. Eventually maybe!

Will marx have a boss mode at one point? I think that would be pretty cool ngl, also I hope you plan to make more kirby villians as playable characters, there are some good ones out there

Everytime i install a new workshop stage or character marx's skins past 8 wont be avaliablee. can you guys fix this bug?

@itemframe543 Hi, this only happens due to anti-cheapie. So if you put ronald or something in the match, then some of that stuff will activate.

i have a problem, why does he just sometimes set other characters' stocks to 1 sometimes? it happened to me while i was trying to have three cpus at the same time in team mode, where he was one of those three and what i stated above occured to every character other than him.

Probably cause you're using it against a character Felix has deemed "cheap" like ronald mcdonald or similar, it's an anti-cheap basically.

if the character you're going up against isn't overpowered and dumb that's probably a bug

why does it become giant and unkillable pls help

His up air is that paint attack

I honestly think (If you were to make a final smash ability for him) since there is one move I think you missed. Which is where he spilts into two and it begins to rain this pink and blue blob or paint like attack. I think that'd work pretty well.

Really Cool character, but would be cool if you make the marx soul skin more soul likely.

@fatlard_kfc As the other guy said, yeah that's the anti-cheapie! Though part of it is also a bug; so I'm fixing it somewhat.

@fatlard_kfc That was Marx's Anti-Cheap mode, to prevent cheapies like 100%, ronald, etc from winning against Marx.

I THINK THERE IS A GLITCH WHEN FIGHTING GOD KARMA MACHINE BECAUSE MY MARX IS HUGE AND TAKES NO DAMAGE

As for your question though, the freeze status does have an effect by keeping opponents in hitstun for longer, although it may break faster offstage and stuff like that! Marx can't utilize the freeze status as well as other characters like Toad and Christmas Morshu in general either. As for the fire effect, that's actually visual only and does no extra damage!

No plans at the moment, but maybe he could get a sort of boss attacks final smash similar to Galacta Knight, along with boss mode once I finish that. We'll see!

Will Marx get a final smash?

I am absolutely loving this, especially considering this is one of the antagonists in the Kirby series that I like. I'm really enjoying the fact that I can finally play as him in the game. The moveset and sprites look very cool.

VERY well done character, great job as usual! I also wanted to ask what the ice effect off of side-b and down-air do to the opponent, if they do anything at all
(same for the down-b burn effect but i vaguely remember seeing do damage over time)

also an idea for a potential alternate taunt. down+ taunt causes marx to scream his infamous death screech. up to you if you want to have a rune/cheat that turns this into an attack

That said though, yeah a teleport spam type of cheat would be funny, and would make a lot of sense for the character. And I agree with the GK thing you mentioned; with GK I took a much more "runes only" approach, while with Marx I chose to make many things be both runes and cheats, to give the player some stuff to mess around with in practice mode. So I might consider doing similar to other characters like GK.

ok this is amazing. even the cheats are almost perfect.
about the only thing i'd ask for is a teleport spam cheat that lets you do the l/r teleport indefinitely.



ill admit though the idea of ruins as cheats in training mode should deffinitely apply for galacta knight too
