@Chomping_Blades What about Green? Is there something you wanted to tell me about it?
Chomping_Blades 21 Nov @ 3:42pm
What about green?
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 13 Nov @ 6:17pm
@ Lechapichat Are you sure about that? How exactly do you know it isn't working? Also, did you check to see if you have something in your load order that conflicts?
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 13 Nov @ 6:12pm
@hmletsdead Just the Iris. The sclera is different file entirely.
hamletsdead 12 Nov @ 2:13pm
Does this also affect color of sclera or just the iris?
Lechapichat 11 Nov @ 2:19pm
The mod doesn't work, it doesn't crash but it's just like the mod isnt on.(sorry for my bad english)
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 10 Nov @ 6:55pm
@klaramirap, how is it funky? Because there is a yellow triangle next to it now?
klaramirap 9 Nov @ 4:04am
This maybe could use an update but it's not really broken more like... Funky
Lechapichat 5 Nov @ 3:26am
i think it need an update
[BRE] Humbert "Le Frog" 4 Nov @ 5:50am
update needed
Silverwing96 1 Nov @ 6:36pm
@heirandthspare yeah idk what they did but your mod made it better, thanks!
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 1 Nov @ 9:11am
@silverwings, nothing has changed. So they must be taking albino eye information for Asians from the brown area. Sorry about that, I don't have any control over it.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 1 Nov @ 9:02am
@Hibiscus...... why would you need to incorporate it into mine? Would my mod not work by itself with your mod? Please tell me more about it.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 1 Nov @ 9:01am
@silverwings96, I'll take a look at the color map. They may have changed it but I doubt it. It might be that Chinese albinos draw from the brown area of the map.
Silverwing96 31 Oct @ 1:20pm
idk about lechapichat but it works for me on 1.18.0.1, and ty for this, my han chinese albinos had brown eyes still for some reason
Hibiscus 31 Oct @ 12:57pm
Hey man! I am making a norse overhaul/alternate 867 start date mod, could i use your mod within mine ofc with credit to you? Just getting into modding and wanted something like this for the diversity of eyes and phenotypes across a broken Nordic empire.
Lechapichat 30 Oct @ 6:27am
please update doesnt work
𝙪𝙡𝙞 29 Oct @ 2:08pm
@HeirandtheSpare yeah, I figured that out after i posted my comment lmao. Went on and tried your mod by itself and it worked perfectly.

could u at least update it to be to the last version of the game? If it doesn't take too much of ur time ofc, if not, all good, thank u for the quick answer :sans:
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 29 Oct @ 1:17pm
This mod doesn't need an update to my knowledge.
𝙪𝙡𝙞 29 Oct @ 10:34am
hey! hope u are doing good! hoping that whenever u have the time, u can get on with this mod and update it to the latest version!
take care!:burozombie:
JamieStylez 29 Oct @ 10:19am
does this work with 1.18 / All Under Heaven?
rony419 2 Oct @ 5:25am
@HeirandtheSpare No worries, thank you for the reply anyway.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 1 Oct @ 8:28am
@rony419- perhaps after the bigger DLC comes out I can add some slightly deeper shades of red, but there isn't any room for a large expansion of colors, as Albinos only draw their eye colors from a single area on the color map, so we are limited to just that. It's not very big and really limits what you can do.
rony419 1 Oct @ 7:34am
@HeirandtheSpare Don't get me wrong I LOVE the diversity your mod brings and it wasn't meant as criticism, just an informative discussion.

You're completely right about the bright red eyes in vanilla being absurd, but irl albinos can appear to have red shades for their eyes just as all the other colors you've mentioned. You can google it and see for yourself. Lack of melanin and iris transillumination causes light to not be blocked effectively and the eyes to have a glowing of translucent appearance with diff shades under certain light condisions, red included (again, due to tiny blood vessels - which can be red, violet or blue and give those optical illusions).

I think you should add back some shades of subtle red for albinism and also make them able to have light blue to gray eyes and rarely very light brown. No worries if you don't have the desire to edit your mod farther, it's really great anyway :)
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 30 Sep @ 6:23pm
@rony419..... I disagree, because I have actually seen Albino people with eye color shades that looked bluish purple, a very very light pink, and a pinkish purple before. Have you seen the original color!? (Yes, it's just one, no variation at all.) THEY ARE ABSURD! I have never seen anyone with bright red eyes before in real life. So regardless of what color they really are, they just don't exist in real life the way they do in a vanilla game. Thus, mine are more realistic.
rony419 30 Sep @ 4:49pm
Love this mod sm! Just a heads up - albinism usually have blue to gray or sometimes hazel to brown eyes, there's no true pink or violet as much as there's no true red. It happens when light shines through the iris and reflects off the blood vessels at the back of the eye. So if considering realism they're all equally absurd lol.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 21 Sep @ 8:23pm
It doesn't need an update.
𝙪𝙡𝙞 10 Sep @ 5:09pm
does this mod need an update? i love this mod!
kazimierzliplanski 9 Sep @ 6:43am
Please update!
Galahad 20 Aug @ 12:41pm
Fair enough. Thanks for the response, and the mod of course.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 20 Aug @ 11:16am
@Galahad, Compared to the vanilla game, they are a huge improvement. Also, it really depends on the setup you have. I've seen other people's games and their colors were a lot more vivid than mine are. But all in all, there will always be some colors that are too vivid. I chose to keep some in there for those that like a more fantastical aesthetic. I think that's better than simply offering less colors.
Galahad 20 Aug @ 9:55am
The blues could be a little more blue. Most blue tones look grey-ish.
Sevarics 13 Aug @ 3:35pm
Thanks so much. I credited you and linked to this mod on it as well. Idk if you need the link to direct people to it but here you go: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3548389037
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 13 Aug @ 10:43am
@Sevarics, yes, that's fine. As long as you credit me you're welcome to share it. Thanks for bothering with that as I had no plans to. :-)
Sevarics 12 Aug @ 6:47pm
Howdy. First just want to say that I love love love your mod and have been using it since it came out.

Secondly, I edited your palette to make it more in line with the AGOT Targaryens by moving the purple from the left side to the right side since that is how the original AGOT eye palette works.

Would I be allowed to upload it to the workshop for the other AGOT players so that they don't bug you about it and credit you ?
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 21 May @ 7:25pm
@Lion Thanks!
The Lion of Judah 21 May @ 2:23pm
Great mod and the models you used are impressive
天漢烈王 14 May @ 10:05am
可以更新矣~
天漢烈王 8 May @ 6:18am
yes,this is good point
Lord DGP 8 May @ 5:04am
@HeirandtheSpare
Change the descriptor to 1.* and you will have your peace :D
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 30 Apr @ 4:39pm
@hamletsdead. Oh! Thanks for letting me know. Nothing has actually been updated, as there is no need to do so. But most people don't bother learning that.
hamletsdead 30 Apr @ 12:33pm
Thanks for the 1.16 update. Works great with Khans of the Steppe. Just fyi you changed the descriptor to 1.16.1 instead of 1.16.01 so the dumb yellow triangle still shows up.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 1 Mar @ 7:04am
@Nerule, rain: My guess would be my mod is loaded after EPE.
Nerule 28 Feb @ 10:26am
@Nate2469 You better share that load order issue or a 1000 years of diarrhea for you good sir.
freak 20 Jan @ 12:21pm
@Nate2469 Any chance you could share what the issue with the order was? I'm having the exact same issue and it's driving me crazy trying to fix it 😭
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 12 Jan @ 9:53pm
@Nate2469 Aha! You should alert them that it does that. Nobody wants to see eyelashless people walking around.
Nate2469 12 Jan @ 9:49pm
@HeirandtheSpare...did some tweaking and it was EPE that was causing the issue i thought it was your mod at first as it was around the eyes for the issue i had but its was alas my own mod order issue. The mod works great thank you.
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 12 Jan @ 7:49pm
@Nate2469..... firstly, my mod doesn't add any eyelashes, it changes eye color and eye texture only. But are you talking about for female characters, or for male characters? Male characters don't have any bottom eyelashes to begin with. Don't ask me why, but they don't. It was a dumb decision on the part of Paradox that my friend lindest and myself were trying to fix, but I haven't heard anything from her for awhile. Also, are you using the vanilla ruler designer, or a modded one? If you tell me all the portrait mods you have in, I can likely help you.
Nate2469 12 Jan @ 7:16pm
So i noticed that when in Ruler designer and creating a character when i added one of the beauty traits like comely or beautiful the eyelashes added by your mod disappear. I have no mod that shouldn't change the way that trait works. Kinda makes that trait the opposite of what it is with your mod making the eyes so much better. Could be a bug with that trait?
HeirandtheSpare  [author] 30 Nov, 2024 @ 2:55pm
@dyl1946 Yeah, that's what I figured. Thanks for asking though!
