my guess is it likely has something to do with other mods because i could not replicate this issue within my modlist. I only managed to get silent pre-boss rush rooms after installing Custom Stage API so that likely is what's causing it.

There is no music in the "Boss rush" room before the fight starts

In bossfights there are some strange tracks, but you quickly get used to them and a little loud end of the battle in some cases, more joints have not noticed so far.

I should clarify that the update is real despite it being april fools in some parts of the world (it's april 2nd for me so it completely slipped my mind)

Thank you, i'm glad to have offered a more compatible way to play with Repented's music. I do believe Beast's tracks and layers were in the first version of Repented but that might've changed with the changes Broski made to the music system to incorporate new layers and tracks.

Also this reminded me to update this mod with something i forgot to when i originally played around with it.

Mod should be updated with an actual music.xml to better balance volumes of tracks, alongside some balancings that i thought would be beneficial. Let me know if something is too loud, quiet or otherwise dysfunctional due to its incorporation.

No Soundtrack Menu Support just yet sorry, I've had to commit a lot of time recently to my university studies but i promise that when i have a spare moment, i will continue looking into how to incorporate it.

Was looking for an alternative to Repented and came across this mod by chance. Thank you very much for your work, for the beast music was missing from the original mod, plus other little things that solve annoying moments :resmile:

i think that's probably just a matter of repented's mod files using vanilla file format before switching over and just not removing the vanilla formats, but i'll look into other music mods that use Soundtrack Menu.

It might have to be a separate mod cuz i'm not sure how you go about checking for soundtrack menu and stopping from overriding the music on default, but i will definitely try to get it working.

OK, but be aware that in addition to having a separate entry in the Soundtrack Menu, the original Repented soundtrack mod also replaces the default soundtrack, which is not good. You can look at RYS for reference on how to not replace it.

I'm fairly unfamiliar with Soundtrack Menu but if i'll see if i can make it compatible once i know how to register it as a soundtrack other than vanilla. The original does use soundtrack menu so i'll look into how Broski's got it working.

Can you make this mod compatible with the soundtrack menu? I like the Repented soundtrack, but it screws a lot with the Reaction Port Pack atm.

It's kinda difficult for me to judge because I never downloaded Repented nor this one, waiting for a fixed version of Repented to come out XD I really can't comprehend the changelogs

check the changelogs for the tracks i've tried to sync cuz there are some exception i just couldn't sync as i don't know how to compose, nor have the og files for the DAW Broski uses.
(oh and also the boss track changes but that's in the changelogs as well if you're interested)

Hey y'all I've gone thru each individual file and any layers that felt unsynced the same length as their base loop (this is how Ridiculon's ogg files are normally in vanilla Isaac's files).

I am only using Audacity so if my attempt at syncing each track has ended up making it worse, let me know and i'll reupload the previous version i have backed up.

i'm looking at the boss themes in greed and greedier mode atm, which boss themes did you find weren't ending well? On my end, both of the regular boss themes appear to have their normal outro playing, only the boss that determine the devil room spawn has no outro and cuts straight to the calm track but unfortunately that's an issue that was persistent with un-modded Repentance.

I'll check out the greed mode stuff today, not entirely sure if i can find a fix but if i do, it should be up by tomorrow. Thanks otherwise, glad to have offered an alternate method of listening to this soundtrack.

This is real cool, the only issue I've seen (heard?) is the boss themes not ending properly in Greed(ier) modes. Otherwise I love it, probably wouldn't have checked this soundtrack otherwise.

Hey y'all, changed around a couple layers to the fiend folio layers just cuz i feel they better capture the floor's style (specifically BB and Corpse). The original layers are still in the game files for those who want them.
