@autumnis don't worry, another map with cloaked elite shotgunners is finished, just need to finish the thumbnail and all the other things.

@killaklappa the map slows down the player speed, you can negate this by restarting the map and not colliding with the trigger that shows the map's name.

@ravmar314 another is being made, gonna take a bit more time since i'm making a game alongside it.

i was using default hl2 weapons.

i just wanted to let you know that func_breakables are actually penetrable by bullets (from any weapon) by default, but you can disable bullet penetration in the func_breakable's flags.

@frequentmigrainehaver are you using gun addons?, if so check if the addon gun can penetrate glass.

When you drop into the final room (the orange heavy guy boss room) it's possible to shoot through the glass and kill the two soldiers and cops.

Both the SLAM & its precursor components work better with a bit of preparation than in a hot zone.

Predict where the enemy will be rather than toss it on a dime like the Satchel.

The thing i don't like about the SLAM is the incredibly slow time to throw and attach it to a wall compared the HL1, though i like the idea of it being both the Satchel and Tripmine.

I've got plans to use them in a survive the wave section of the next map, though i doubt most players will even use it lol.

The SLAMs are VERY underused compared to the components that went into making them, the Satchel & Tripmine.


In my opinion, it accomplishes both of its component's jobs, but in one package and does it swimmingly, plus source physics allow you to use the Remote SLAM bomb in a limited offensive capability by using the Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator & Last Known Weapon to send the SLAM to a location & then detonate it.

A Whole map based around SLAM usage & bringing out the best in the weapon would possibly be a fun experience.

And then remember the Overwatch Soldiers are a Spirital Successor to the HECU...

I wonder if you'll eventually add the Modified Combine Soldiers to the spawnlist?

If not, then sorry for asking...

(P.S. You have quite the grasp on the Overwatch AI and if the Devtest combat map & Sector Strike are anything to go by, then You know how to use them!

Also using the S.L.A.M. on them with the tripmine & remote detonation mode reminds me of fooling the HECU into the tripmines & remote bombs.)
