Thanks for letting me know and I'm glad you like my characters. My original intention was to create a balanced characters similar to the characters in the main game, but after creating traits for the characters, it turned out to be a lot more cheating. I don't want to delete her traits, so I'm going to leave it like that and reduce her stats to a very low level and make her unaffected by her own traits instead.

I was worried that there would be many people who wouldn't like it, but when I see comments like this, I'm very happy and grateful. Thank you.

@zapow it's +50 max health when your character receiving buff so it's not damage but it need time to regen to the new max health and if you character go out from the buff range, the buff will gone and you survivors health will go back.

I seem to having an issue with her receiving care trait. All my other survivors are taking hits to their health on a regular basis for no apparent reason and then need to recover HP.

@caschel If the notification says "Disable Amberly's Recruit Event!" it means her recruit event has been disabled because you already have her in the camp. If not, I'm not sure about the issue. Could you provide more details, please.

Hi! Every time Amberly appears the game says that a mod( guess it's this mod) is messing with the logic of the game and I may experience odd behavior. Did you ever get this message?

And I forgot to change her recruiting event back to 60%, I set it to 100% for testing the mod. So after 10 days she will come to you at the camp.

I'll change it back in the next update.

@Cache 42 It was very far from what I had planned. If talking about her OP or not. She won't be very good if you have few survivors in your camp. Because she didn't receive the effects of her own traits.
If you solo with her, you will get the survival that need to sleep 2 time a day instead.

So more survivals = More OP she is.

Thank you for notifying me about the issue. It appears that the game freeze was caused by a trait error in my mod, which I have now corrected. As of 12/15/23 this character use will not let the game load after the crash scene, just get a black screen. THEY KILLED AMBERLY,

I am SO rolling my game game back until Amberly gets fixed. Can't play without her now lol.

As for changes to her? I like to play insane diff. so I remove her starting gear except for some basic clothes and I remove any known techs. That's all personal play style though. I love the triggered events and how she evolves the whole camp over time. It's a lot of fun. OP as heck, but man is it fun!

new patch broke Amber mod, when she came to join the base, she spawns with no portrait and as a generic bald guy. No clothes nor gears, and can't seem to manually control her. She's like a ghost running around the base. Old saves before the new patch seems fine tho.

1. About warning popup issue : I checked in the mod community and found that the popup might be caused by the mod being created before the update. Unfortunately, I don't know how to check this issue either. Maybe wait for a patch to fix it, I think.
2. About the event : Amberly recruit event has a 60% chance. I don't know of based-game recruit events, but it's definitely an RNG-based not 100%. (These events are done separately so they do not affect each other.)

I sometimes get a warning popup about a mod related issue, but I have no idea what actually went wrong. Is there any log I can check to see which mod it is? Last run I had no more suvivor events and Amberly never showed up.

@Mantastic I adjusted the character's work speed to balance against her rapid fatigue rate. Without this adjustment, she wouldn't be able to efficiently complete tasks, and I designed this character to be highly intelligent. Therefore, the additional speed may make the character a bit op, but that's the intention. If the increased speed is comparable to the speed of other skills, it wouldn't be considered a specific advantage.

Neat character and I dig the support aura, but her research ability is way broken in terms of balance. She makes all research trivial with how fast she does it.

So, I just created another event without a pop-up that triggers when Amberly is in the game. This event cancels the event that you mentioned earlier, meaning if you didn't choose Amberly at the starting survivors, this cancellation event won't occur because the conditions are not met.

@Adonnay The latest update will have a notification that appears in the top right corner of the screen when you play by selecting Amberly as the starting character. The notification says, "Disable Amberly's Recruit Event!" indicating that the corresponding event for recruiting Amberly has been canceled. This should address the issue you mentioned earlier.

์Normally, I don't select Amberly as a starting character. Because her already has an event to join your group. So I didn't check it in detail.

Edit: Okay, sending the "clone" away seemed to break the cycle.

Interestingly the event had no effect. When I click "yes, please join" nothing happens. "My" Amberly stays and keeps her skills, no new Amberly appears. When I say "no, get lost" nothing happens as well... she stays. So far (no event again since I said "no, get lost") no new event... will update if sending the "new" Amberly away gets me out of this loop.

@Adonnay Could you please provide more details from the problem? Is the issue causing Amberly to respawn another one in your playthrough or is it happened as an events so I can fix the problem directly?

In my playthrough Amberly always arrives as a "new" wanderer even though she's one of my starters. Is that a known issue of this mod or more likely a mod confict? Does anyone know?

@Dr Knox It's a Cognitive Enhancement Device (Complete) trait with an added aura buff. ( The Cognitive Enhancement Device (Complete) trait alone does not have an Aura Buff. So I named it differently )

I will use this name until I come up with a better name.

Everybody uses 100% of their brain. That isn't unique, it's a myth that we use less than 100% of our brains.

@caschel All you need to do is wait because the event that spawns other characters is randomly triggered every day based on the seed in your game, and my mod doesn't change anything about this. Maybe you will get more survivors within a day or even up to two years, depending on your luck as well. <3

Ok!! I like her, anyway. And, yes, I see the others receiving buffs. What about we don't find other survivors, after her appearance? Is it coincidence or something created by the mod?

@caschel You will see that other survivors receive the buff when this character is nearby.

@caschel Yes, that comes from her traits, which make her and other survivors nearby work and recover from injuries more efficiently. However, she gets tired much faster than the other survivors, around 50% faster and be careful with her happiness because she can increase the happiness of other survivors around her too, but not her own and if her happiness falls below 20%, she gets fatigued four times faster than others!

yeah! I noticed this too! When she shows up nobody else does.And she's been tired like Maki! Pass out during the bugs attacks and takes naps at least twice a day! Are these normal traits for her?

And yes, I'll definitely continue creating more characters. This character is from my novel, and I need to create at least 2 more characters. I have already adjusted my mods, and I am quite satisfied with the results. During the mod, I found that my character's learning skills are x4 because there are 2 traits with x2 each. So, I have corrected that. You can edit it further if you want to change anything else. no harm

Yep, just little things that irked me about the game (and hadn't been released by other great modders here yet).

I actually just started working on a Vanilla-ish character mod that I hope to upload soon along with some other overhaul mods that I've been fine-tuning.

@sydtrakked I somewhat agree with you. Sometimes, I also think my mod is a bit overpowered. When I return from work, I will consider what I can do with this matter. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I use your mods as well, I call them "Quality of life mods." It really makes the game look better and much easier to play.

I really like this character but she is a bit OP for me (especially the 2x Skill Boost). I feel like her effects on other survivors need to be nerfed a bit or have some more negative reactions or even potential for the Cognitive Device to trigger mental issues in certain survivorsor something similar.

I changed the portrait to be sharper. If the in-game character image doesn't appear, please re-subscribe the mod again.

Her story recruit was created separately and didn't change anything in the main game. Therefore, the in-game recruit event for other survivors will occur normally. But most of the time, you'll get her first from events after day 10, because her event chances are higher than other events. So just having her in the group is enough.

@Gunslinger Thank you for the feedback and I'm sorry I forget to change the prerequisites of her recruit.
Now, if you already recruit her, her recruiting event will not trigger and another in-game recruit will trigger normally. Or after recruiting her via an event, it has cooldowns, so you need to wait to trigger another recruit. If you are lucky enough and your team is not full, you will trigger another recruit. (Normal in-game recruit story)
- I already tested this mod before uploading it. A few days after receiving her, 2 more characters joined my group. (I tested until the 20th)

this is kinda broken. the character is great, however once i select her i cant get any more additional survivors to show up to my base or find in expeditions because its always her. and once you have one of her it does not allow another but it keeps cycling her as any additional characters to be found
