how to install GModPatchTool with Proton? ...call me crazy, but i couldn't get x86_64 to run on Arch without Proton, and i think the game runs better like this anyway

- Enter “mat_dxlevel 90” in the console
- Switch to x86-64 Beta Branch (see description)

- Disable all add-ons except Media Player (for testing)

Hi, when I launch YouTube, I get a white screen, and it doesn't launch at all. Can you tell me how to fix this error? I've tried all the versions, but it doesn't work.

I cannot reproduce this error on either x86-64 bit Beta or the normal branch, regardless of whether GmodPatchTool is used or not.

This note is already included in the description, stating that not all YouTube videos are guaranteed to work, partly because embedding is prohibited by the video creator.

When I try to play a youtube video it says "Unrecognized feature: 'web-share'.

great news, i have appeared to fix it, i just needed to reinstall the cef codex fix :)

Unfortunately, I can no longer help with this, but I always try to test as much as possible whenever I have the time. Google Drive works for me, but I don't know why it works for you.

shadowsun, sorry for not responding but yes they are both public, one of them used to work even, not sure why it doesnt anymore, i do get a error saying "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." when accessing it in google drive

is multiplayer works for this addon? because me and my friend have everything done right yet they see a white screen while i see normally.

@Jdramirez165 Unfortunately, this is necessary in order to play Internet Archive videos, as Garry's Mod does not support mp4 video formats by default. However, it is explicitly stated that this is required, and instructions are also provided.

1: No i don't have it.

1. Have you used the GmodPatchTool?
2. Internet Archive is known to be slow and unreliable at times.
3. Not everything is playable.

Internet Archive works on my end, but I will be revising it soon. My private life takes priority for now, though.

Internet Archive videos won't play, it loads the video UI, & thats it.

would be cool if there was an option to replace the audio with a mono audio thats directional because it feels weird having stereo audio that never changes direction when you look around

Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution for this yet. YouTube is constantly changing things, which just annoys everyone. :/

@𝕝𝕠𝕔𝕜𝕗𝕘𝕗, MKV and MP4 videos work for me on Google Drive. Did you set the visibility to public when creating the link?

shadowsun, yes i did get gmodpatchtool, the mkv is just a pure file in google drive, direct link, not even mp4's work...

for some reason this doesn't show up when installed, I'm using Windows and the base version of Gmod, I tried reinstalling it

I have a suggestion, If you press the "Request URL" Button with right click, it won't close the panel, that way you can select many at a time.

Dear creator please take a look at this just letting you know. yesterday media player was working just fine having a good time, laughs and cool videos. Now today I get this message.

I got a "Site not available" message after requesting Youtube videos. I don't know why its doing it, & it makes the addon unusable...sad...

Hope it gets fixed soon, cause i been planing a watch party with my friends online in-game.

Has the original Media Player add-on been disabled/removed, as otherwise it will cause conflicts!

Secondly, deactivate all add-ons except this Media Player to isolate the error.
