@NachoToast is now playing RimWorld That makes a lot more sense, so you were saying that "all the vents do is spawn gas in" because it's not actually using any mortars or shells, so it actually would be compatible then. (or at least, there's no reason to think it wouldn't be) Thanks for the clarification :steamthumbsup:

@Church.exe Ah the wording there is a bit inaccurate on the SCGF workshop page, I'll update it accordingly. SCGF isn't strictly "incompatible" with CE, it will still work, however (from what I've been told) CE changes some stuff related to mortars/shells, so any gas mods will have to account for that if they want to play nicely with CE. So it's as you've guessed, the framework will work fine, the gasses themselves will work fine, but shells, launchers, IEDs, etc.. will *probably* not

@NachoToast is now playing RimWorld but don't they spawn gas via the "Simple Custom Gas Framework" mod? That's listed as being incompatible with CE currently (both on the mod page/discussion itself and the fact that it's not listed in the SupportedThirdPartyMods.md on the CE github) so I can't see how that'd be true if it's relying on that framework unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Is the framework more of a toolkit or something but the actual gasses themselves function fine in-game?

Nice thing. Knockout gas vents for prison brakes is a good thing. :-)

Anyway, do someone know of a mod which does not dispers gas, but instead clean rooms of gas? I would like to have comactors indoors, but the tox gas is pushing outdoors when someone enters near in an instant.
I think the mechanic could be the same as with trash bins, only ticking faster and, well, for gas.

P.S. It's not out for this version yet, since I'm still waiting on Performance Fish to update to 1.6, but you can try out gas vents for vanilla gases in 1.6 with the wall attachment stuff via the Gas Vents (Vanilla Only Edition) - which has been updated.

Updated for 1.5, things should be pretty much the same. Feedback is welcome, I'm curious to see whether people find the vents too strong, too weak, or just right (on default settings).

i cant wait for the update so i can gas the people who dare try to raid me
my custom race and religion are immune to the gasses so i use them anyone else (slaves who are of an inferior race) who gets caught in the gas they shoulda known better i guess does this affect rooms next to it? like can i attach it to my bunker which i have my seals in thats made out of gold?

it would be nice if you had an ingame mod option to control the rate that vents consume shells, because dang these really gobble up shells fast. I understand by default you want there to be some cost for keeping areas flooded with various gases but I actually just wanted to use this to gas my own colonists' interior living areas with toxic fog (they're adapted to it)
