It's sad that it's not being developed further, it's a very nice tool.

Saving of key values is whitelisted so that it does not explode.
This could be done better, for example letting you know which ones aren't saved or letting you yourself decide to save stuff, but this tool is no longer under development.

Unfortunately, the key values are not saved correctly :(
For example, if you set Explode Damage to a high value and then save it, it will be high at that moment, but not when you reload.

I got tired of working on GLua stuff. It's such an old engine with serious limitations in comparison to modern engines, and while Lua is great it's only a scripting language.

Sure you can upload text files to the workshop, nobody will stop you doing so, but they will not automaticly be placed into the right folder.

Also a lot more convenient, stuff loads the moment the map is loaded as if it was always there, dont have to sit through the absurdly long wait time it takes to load an intense save.

This works in multiplayer and can be used while playing any gamemode.

You can use the "Custom Input" feature to fire off entity I/O stuff.
There's also plenty of pre-determined inputs like pressing of buttons.
You can easily discover/manipulate map secrets with this tool.

Also I want to let you know that I am not getting alerted to messages in the public comment section even though I am subscribed to it so you may want to switch to the "Bug Reports" or "Questions" thread, otherwise I may respond very late if at all.

It could be that the props are being spawned in dynamically, meaning not at map start. You should try adding the props' names to the blacklist if this is the case. That is the only explanation I have without seeing the map for myself.

I just tested it out and it keeps happening, even with everything disabled. Before disconnecting I pressed the save button about 5 times to be sure, and it still happened. Maybe its the map itself? I did turn editer mode on and off but when I exited and saved it was definitely off.

A thing I noticed is that things I spawn and make to persist dont ever disappear. Might it be because they are deleted initially, then when I save (because theres nothing there) the map thinks theyre meant to be unchanged or something? I dont know how to explain it properly

While you probably are doing this already, I just want to make absolutely sure that you are pressing save before closing as there is no auto-save. I just verified that the addon is working properly on my copy of GMod.

Though if there is a conflict then that would be important to know, so I hope you figure out the issue.

not as far as I can tell, ive never received an error loading in or something like that. I just delete the things I want to delete, close the server, load back in, continue deleting stuff, come back and its all back
