well, I did the same thing with this one just like the last mod to make sure it actually works
are you running as host in local server or playing singleplayer?

where the beginning and mid part are textured dim, but the end part is more brighter

I don't know if this is possible, but in the beta they have a dynamic flashlight, which means you can see other players where they are pointing their flashlight, just like in CS. I think this is a good opportunity to tell about the beta features since you're interested in recreating them.

nice! been meaning to for the longest time
should go pretty well with the mod that came out not long ago that gets rid of the pinned highlight too
