If a weapon can give bonuses to all skills not just combat ones, you could make them a low damage weapon that boosted engineering lockpicking, and both smithings.

Great idea! Would it be possible to enable it to break locks similar to Tools? (Breaking into containers, doors, etc.).

Good idea, but i do not think i can do that, i dont think items in inventory could affect this sort of action. Maybe if you set it to be equippable to an equipment slot and somehow give it bonus to weaponsmithing for example

Can it be used to increase the speed of weaponsmithing while it's in your inventory?

Pity it can't be made faster, but it's still nice to make these things more useful than beign vendor trash. =)

Dont think i can control that, it should be the same as other tools used for this so the speed should also scale with your strength

Does it work faster than using tools or a hacksaw? Or is that a timer you can't control?

i'd love to do that and its a great idea but i do not know how that could work since weapons cant be used as consumables as far as i know sorry

Grinder could be used to make weapons slightly better, in game reason could be it fixes blades by grinding them.
