thisa mod does not work..only modi have turned on and you cant select the vikings or israels or hungarians..none of them even show up...please fix

@Serafielus You could download the mod, then delete the folders for the civs you don't want in the mods folder. Also, it should not be a problem if you have other versions of Hungary and Israel in your game at the same time.

Is it possible to download these civilizations separately? Honestly I am only interested in Vikings civilization and I don't want Hungarian and Israeli, while having them from different modds (I don't want to duplicate civilizations)

Just downloaded the mod. When i try to set up a game with the mod enabled, none of the new civs show up in the civ select menu. Any idea how to fix this?

Feel is not a constructive criticism. :P
Anyway, from what I remember, the Israel has two Faith generating bonuses in ancient era (warrior, library), early Culture boost, an ability to quickly found Capital in the best spot (you may even start with social policy if you moved far enough). Later on, Library is great towards Great Scientist. Especially strong with wide empires. Religion-Culture-Science combo, I should nerf it probably.
I think, you can also check other Israeli mods on workshop. You may find what suits you, because at this point, I am afraid I am not gonna update my mods too much. :P It is not 2014 anymore.

Sorry to be a bother with my constructive criticism, but I feel like Israel's bonus makes them really underpowered. It's disappointing, given how awesome the rest of the features are, and I feel like they could do a lot better with something like, "Combat bonus vs. stronger foes" or "Religion can be founded upon gaining a Pantheon." I understand if an edit like that is out of the question, but thank you for your time anyway.

You see, the issue is that I do not think in English, I don't even read descriptions of my mods in game, because I made them, I know how they work. I have almost no usage of English, obviously your starting units have greater movement and sight before your capital is founded.

Hello, you have to open your mod folder, (usual path: ...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS), find the viking one, and open the VikingUnitCode.lua (name may be different, but file is .lua!) in notepad. Use CTRL-F to find "15", read the code, if it seems related to strenght, change 15 to 5, save the file. :) Good luck, in case of problems, return here

Hi Teedyk, amazing mods! I was wondering if you would be able to help me out though. I am absolutely useless at modding and I'm using the old vikings version (8 I think), I was wondering if possible you could make a very small change for me to the Beserker and change it to +1 strength for every 5hp lost instead of +1 for every 15 (I know this makes it even more OP but that's kind of the point), I've been somewhat motivated by watching the Vikings series and want to do some serious Diety huge map domination with restrictions on the tech tree so it never advances to the Reneissance :') I tried to duplicate the mod in the creation kit but it kinda broke all the additional buttons that were added (for the ships etc.) so I'm stumped! I imagine it'd be a few second job for yourself! Would be very much appreciated if you can :) Thank you and keep up the amazing work, and look forward to your mods in Civ 6!

Culture Bonus only applies to moving Settlers, and only if after moving Settler is further away from initial plot (so no moving around).

Well, when you start new game, your starting settler and warrior have +2 movement and sight, so it is easier to choose the best nearby place for the city. If you instantly settle, the bonus is gone.

Best Israel mod on the Workshop. Love the unit bonuses, but I don't understand how the "+2 movement and sight until capital is found" works. How is that bonus triggered exactly?

I don't have the Hungarian version with UI.

Hey sir. Enjoyed your mod for a long time, But I downloaded it specifically for the powerful Viking civ. Would it be possible to add a stand alone of just the Viking civ with older perks maybe slightly nerfed.. I feel like you neutered them entirely.. And Also, without pikemen I have no melee defence for mounted units for an entire age or 2 depending on how I progress in the tech tree. I feel the swordsman was better replaced, as the berserker was also a hand to hand melee combat unit that existed through the same time periods.. You were definately more on the right track with the older version.. Like I said, maybe just nerf the longships and the embarkation and foreign soil combat bonus, not remove them..

You know, I completely agree with you. For my excuse, I was probably too absorbed with the concept of being able to scout ocean and create a "sentry" unit there. What is more, I don't truely ever use naval combat before Frigates. At last, the UA isn't the most powerful one and Optics - Iron Working are quite not the best techline to make use of both UUs. What about:
1. Moving the part about Ocean passability for 10 turns to UA (and make it work on trireme as well)
2. Production cost of Longship to 100 (from 75) ~ should be fair considering that you got one free land unit as well.
3. Longship starts with 11 Combat Strength (+3 Combat strength if you discover Iron Working, extra +3 if you discover Compass). Triremes will melt down, but City with Composite Bowman should take them down quite effectively.

Just a balance issue here but the Vikings are absolutely insane. Clearly they're intended to have a mean potential to attack coastal cities in the classical era but its just too much man. You simply can't stop the longships. All you'll have is triremes and they don't even have a comparible melee strength and can't go toe-to-toe with them at all, once the Viking player parks a couple of those outside your city you're pretty much boned. They'll soak the city's ranged attacks easily due to their (for the classical era) seriously high strength. I do apologise if I'm coming across as butthurt or unreasonable, I should add that I really like your mod content just this one could do with some changes in my humble opinion.

I really love the modd but I was wondering if you could change the name of the Viking Berserker. Denmark already has a berserker so it seems odd to have two unique untis with different stats with the same name.

Playing as Hungary, I found that, though I wished to build a vegvar on a Jungle Hill with Gems, I could not. The game would not allow me. However, I was able to build it elsewhere, on a plain hill. Is it just that I can not build it on a resource? If so, please change that, if you can. Thank you.

I don't know. I am trying to not update mods to often. I am gonna note it though. Personally, it doesn't look so bad in game to me.
