Might be a mod interaction, but this mod causes slugpups to also pick up items when using the keybind.

A 3rd button to grab only bodies would be perfect. Especially for Artificer dealing with scavs.

This mod allows you to pick up a spear if you have full hands, and it goes to your back if your slugcat can do that, however I didn't implement a way to hold the button to put it in/out of the back slot. I might implement that at some point, but I'm busy with Beecat right now, so I likely won't be updating this mod for a while.

Super handy (heh) mod. Quality of Life, almost don't want to play without.

Suggestion/question... So with the typical grab, a character can equip a Spear on their back (as hunter or using buff). Unfortunately I am unable to equip a spear to the back, nor am I able to pull a spear from the back? Or perhaps I may have some conflict or doing it wrong?

Either way, this is some functionality I would really like. So picking up ONLY weapons, is also able to give and take a spear on the back. But honestly, dude, I don't know how you made this mod lol.. I was looking over the games code against your mods code (see if it something I could fix up myself) and was getting completely lost in "sprOnBackStick", "SpearToBack", there's trigonometry involved with a slugcats body (?!), and WTH, there is hidden DEMO MODE option?

I haven't tested it, but it might work if they're on controller, using the left/right triggers.

I don't see any settings mentioning other players in the remix menu, so i assume this doesn't support coop? A bit of a shame, but understandable. Making mods is time consuming.

Other than that, great mod. I wanted something of that sort since the game came out.

A must. Would be great if it could be extended to other types of items and other commands like eating or activating grapple worms.

Would also be great if it could work with the mouse. Just saying.

Thanks for this, i have died multiple times to Scavengers as artificer by accidentally grabbing a corpse.

Confirm you can set buttons inside Rain World's native Input Menu in Options? If you can't there, try turning the controller off and on again. Sometimes Rain World just doesn't detect xInput controllers properly for whatever reason.

I am using an Xbox controller and as such can't bind any of the buttons, as far as I've tried. So more controller buttons support would be great, I don't know if it's possible

what about miscellaneous items/tools like the lamp, flashbang, and pearls? will they get their own keybind as well or do i just have to use the regular grab?

No, it only grabs edible things, so corpses won't be grabbed by non-carnivores.

Needs an option to only pick up corpses as well. Would make carnivore playthroughs and corpse-clogged cramped spaces easier to deal with. Thank you for this mod, though!

This is a huge step in the right direction! I wish I knew how to get under the hood of the controls. I'd rework all of it. I'd have have a dedicated grab function bound to RT rather than the up key.(would only apply to the environment/poles) I'd have crouch taken off of down and bound to LT, holding LT crouches and releasing will make the slugcat stand up. I would improve on the system they already have where the item flashes white when in range to pick up. I'd have the item that would be picked up if you pressed X stay highlighted until picked up or out of range, then I would have a dedicated cycle function bound to right bumper so you can cycle through which item you want if there are multiple in the same place. I would bind the map to Y freeing up the left bumper to which I would have a dedicated pick up for spears. Here's hoping someone with the skills to make this a reality likes the idea. Could it be you!?
Anyways thanks a lot for making this mod, already a massive improvement.

If only someone could make a drop button keybind, instead of us suffering with pickup+down all the time, that problem is common when swimming down or climbing poles down.

What are you even talking about? Picking up, eating, dropping, switching hands, and swallowing are all bound to the same key and it's a big problem. What do you even mean by binding macros to individual buttons??? Not that I use a controller, either.

Unfortunately whenever I have this problem the pile is of the same category. Examples: A pile of pearls, I want the coloured one. A pile of fruit and centipedes, I want the one gourmand is not holding yet for a meal. A pile of spears, I want the explosive one.

Do you think you could make a single target cycle button as well? Press it and the next item in a pile of things close enough to pick up lights up and is now the item normal grab will pick up. Press until the one you want is lit and grab.

@StoicSirius if you are playing with a controller, steam input binding is flexible enough to bind macros to individual buttons like you describe

Anything which can be used as a weapon will be picked up by the "Pick Up Only Weapons" keybind, including rocks, spears, bombs, paincones/beehives, spore puff, etc... I'll add that to the description.

Real. Stuff like this should be vanilla—dropping and swapping hands should have their own keys, too. God, who thought it a good idea to bind so many actions to one key??? And only throwing weapons instead of everything should have its own key. Everything should have its own key.

Side question: when you mean picking up weapons, does that mean picking up rocks too, or only spears and explosives and the like? It would be nice if the description explicitly explained this.
