Found it. For some reason there's an in compatibility with watchers abilities for everyone regardless of weather or not you're in watchers campaign.

It seems to be an incompatibility with another mod, turning everything except camera scroll off fixes it the same as turning off camera scroll.

I can confirm the issue. CameraScroll makes certain rooms very very blurry/pixelated. Large rooms are the most affected.

All three looked normal on my end. Migration Path C02 has issues with shadows moving with slugcat and some shadow mask switching at fixed points instead of gradually.

Can you reproduce the bug on your end? Can you make a bug report (see section BUG REPORTS for how to report bugs).

with the new patch for some reason camera scroll makes the resolution of some rooms? drop or something? making all the pixels really big.

two examples are LF_D06 and LF_E01

See the section BUG REPORTS. Freezes like that should be logged in the exceptionLog.txt. If you send them I or others can point out what mods likely caused them.

turns out, it's the entire game screen that freezes, this is disabled, but the screen froze, when i move around i still hear the movement, which means it is related to different mods

i also have seen the problem, the longer the session the worse the disconnect between the screen and what's actually happening, will have to disable this for a while until it gets better

It seems to get worse as a session gets longer. Rebooting the game temporarily solves the problem.

I am also getting the hitching/lag in rooms. It happens for me in both tall and wide rooms - the top sections of The Wall (the pole part and the roof part) are great testing rooms for this. The hitching happens about once per second.

However, it also happened to me in the Echo room at the top of the Wall. I got the hitching in there while not even moving. So it's not just big rooms that do it.

Is there a way to have the zoom just to be activated when you have the posiitonal camera enabled in switch mode?

I am not aware of workarounds or fixes. I don't know what causing it. So far it is not commonly reported either. If you find a fix let me know. I can put that in the FAQ.

(Also make sure that it is indeed this mod and no experimental options are used. Sometimes you have incompatibilities with other mods.)

yeah, the lag starts when i enter a particularly long room, then again after moving. standing still for a few seconds allows the game to return to normal speed until i move again. might you know another way i could get around this issue?

They differ only when you load the room (one loads a cached texture from disk and the other creates it on demand on the GPU). It sound like you have lag while you move around after loading the room. Unlikely that it would change anything.

any chance the cache feature could be returned? the lag with screen scroll in some of the bigger watcher regions is reeeally bad on my steam deck...

There's a visual bug where the terrain stain gradient looks disconnected to the terrain
One room where this happens is in the bottom-right portion of Migration Path B01, and there's other rooms where this also occurs

Someone earlier in the comments said that the rooms turn invisible in watcher 1.5 and it still does this. even with no other mods but the DLC enabled it still does this. Help!

In The leg (right before the entrance to Underhang I think) I got a bug in one room with platforms and poles being misaligned visually with their physical positions. I'm not sure if this mod was the culprit but after disabling it I didn't encounter such issue

Good question. There aren't many reports like this. Maybe there are other mods involved. You can also try to update your graphics card drivers.

dont know why a scrolling camera causes so much lag but thats whats happening to me, i played for 40 hours without fps problems but any room with this mod makes it go down to 20-30 fps

There is issues with this mod and some of the final end sequences in Watcher. With this mod enabled it will break the game and wont allow you to progress.

I am not aware of that. This mod does not modify the map either. If you find a case, let me know. You can verify by disabling this mod and checking if the warp point appears again.

Hello Dev! Idk why but my game crashes when entering HI-C04 on Survivor's campaign but only when I have the "Push to Meow" mod enabled?? I went through my mods and isolated that this mod is the interaction that crashes. Ik it's not your responsibility to work on mod compatibility, but I thought I would let you know. It does not crash and appears to work normally without that mod enabled. Thanks so much for making this mod and continuing to work on it. <3

That is likely mods being incompatible. See the section BUG REPORTS for how to report bugs.

You can disable other mods to verify that is incompatible with some other mod. And the `exceptionLog` logs code errors. It should tell what exactly went wrong.

Is there any way to fix this in-game when it softlocks or is that it and youve had it? For instance when you go through a pipe and the camera randomly stops following.
