I think the worms themselves are made up of that, I don't think they infected a host to create it.

i still dont understand how a devil worm can turn some people into just big exploding guys, and sometimes these lobbers, wailers, and swarmers, like actually how do you end up looking like this???

actualy this sentinel is perfet for witch somebody make each for multiple special infected cause imagine how freaky sneaking past a sentinel and it turns and looks at you
