I've asked if Probed could be removed from the misc section and was turned down, so making a few reskins seemed worth the effort to try to bring it out, plus they were fun projects to put together, getting to revist an older map of mine. The layout is solid, but the gimmicks are holding it back from a wider audience, so I don't see the harm in giving it a shot, while giving it a fresh coat of paint.

Most of my modern maps are super high effort projects with teams of people pushing the limits of the engine and bringing new themes and/ or ideas to the game, but I'm also going to occasionally experiment with other work of mine that is popular that could potentially see inclusion in the game and not take me hundreds if not a thousand plus hours to see come to fruition like the rest. It's okay to not like it and down vote it, you're free to do so, but there's no need to chastise me for trying.

reskin of existing map. yeah we get it probed is in the misc tab, but that doesn't mean you need to reskin it for smissmas and now summer- while at the same time REMOVING the fun gimmicks it had- just to bring it out of the basement.

crash, you make cool maps sometimes, but this one gets a no from me, as does the summer version.

Damn Valve really did Probed dirty. Honestly the fact that we have breadspace in the payload queue means we should get the invasion maps like Probed and 2fort invasion back in the normal queues... Theres no reason for Probed not to be in the koth queue.

I'm really really amused with the name Snobed and how it can be pronounced Snowbed (one syllable) or Snow-bed, because the original Probed was jokingly called the pro version of the map Bed, which I reference in the hidden area inside the middle silo, with an actual bed.

Snowed is pretty great though, too, I've always liked those really simple names.

I really regret not calling the original Probed "Tractor" instead. That one was a missed opportunity, with the alien tractor beam/ farm aesthetic.

I feel like “Globed” would be a better name. Y’know, like a snow globe! One could even argue it’s as if the aliens are watching the nerve as if they’re actually in one!

"Snowed" would have also worked

I had so much damn fun playing probed. Such a good map.

Not the "non-Halloween version of Probed" I was expecting, but still very welcome.

I wouldn't mind if this was added just so I'll finally get to play this layout again. Invasion was so much fun.

I removed all the Invasion elements, no tractor beam, no space ship, no teleporting in and exploding robot aliens. Map geometry wise it is the same, beyond a few small bug fixes.

Am I crazy or were there gameplay changes done to this too?
