Is it no longer possible to place the solar generator inside a structure? I've tried placing it in the garage, under a balcony, and inside a room of the house, but it simply cannot connect to any solar, or even be initialised.

The other problem is that the distance for, backup generators is extremely limiting. I had a generator on the floor above, on a balcony edge, right next to the solar gen (two tiles total), and it wouldn't connect. It will only connect if it's on the same level.

All this combined, makes it very difficult to get good coverage on the lot.

I found all the components and the book, installed everything and it works. However, no texture appears (at least nothing identical to the description in the video), either for the power bank or the photovoltaic panels. All the tiles remain empty...

Are crate locations randomized or are they always in the same place?
I installed the mod that spawns crates after looting locations, will they spawn in those locations despite the chunks having been loaded already?

Pro tip guys do NOT play without the mod that lets crates spawn, i have only found 10 solar panels and have looted every industrial building that isn't inside Louisville, except food warehouses lol, i'm going to install that damn mod now x)

Is there a possibility to charge the batteries in the battery bank from general electricity while it's still active?

I play with the Blackouts mod and it would be fun to combat the blackouts with batteries charging while the electricity is turned on then use them as a backup for the blackouts

Does battery bank work strictly on radious? Or does it cover multyple floores(up and/or down)?

When you enable the mod on existing saves you need to explore far away areas to find the mod items. However this mod also spawns special crates in specific areas which can randomly spawn in areas you previously explored. e.g. big warehouses, tool & electrical stores.

Does the book spawn if the mod is added to an existing save? If so, I'm wondering what the parameters are.. I'm having the same issue as MaddUserPl - I can find the components, so that part of the mod is fine. But I can not for the life of me find the book.. I'll keep looking, but I'm wondering if I need to focus my search on places I have not searched before or some such? I've tried a few towns that I hadn't been to before activating the mod, but haven't had any luck yet.

I instled all mods for that sollar panels but still can't find Energy from solar panel book and craft solar panels, can you please tell me what i need to do to made this mod work? I turned it on, not sure what else can I do

The mod is updated on GitHub first, but on steam only one person could push uodates. and so that version was bugged for a while.

You do not need to make additional backups or copies because the repository will always be public.

Man I just love finding out that mods randomly disappear from my list. Thanks for the reupload. Do I just need to make local copies of everything? Is there any downside to doing that?

Hello again Lord Poltergeist, under what conditions do batteries start to degrade ? It appears to be only when the system is on and under load, if so would having a maxed out battery bank (AH) wise slow the degradation ?

Hello Poltergeist, I hope you are doing well. I was wondering what are the chances for a mod update to allow us to wire multiple battery banks to increase total battery storage. The great RNG god has decided bless my pre-existing game with so many 200 AH batteries that I could run my own super computer :)

The length of time it takes to connect a solar panel to the battery is insane and the requirements for the remote is a little much without also having the ability to craft it or something.

That said, really like this mod.

I love this mod. I felt very proud of my collection of 20+ solar panels.
The requirement to make a failsafe however was a bit rubbish - I looted literally every building in Muldraugh and didn't find a single TV remote - it did however get me 10 in electrician, even without fast learner trait. I had so much butter, oh my god.

Can't change sandbox settings. Everytime I restart the server it keeps an old config file.
I have change the sandboxoption of the mod file, chnage the Sandbox.lua, nothing works.
Any help ? ....

Love this mod. Just to hard to find panels and batteries, even if you can craft them. Have to crank up the spawnrate quite a bit to get a decent solar panel system.

I see that lamps that I have crafted battery connectors for and that have batteries added are still showing up as drawing power from the solar battery bank. I wish there was a way to have it not draw from the solar just as how battery powered lamps don't draw from vanilla gas generators.

If you need help with making solar panels you can make them but their is a book to be found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLQXwUip1Rk This video shows what you need in order for everything to work. LMK if you guys have questions I've been using this on a server with about 10 people.

For some reason every time i try to pick up the battery bank it creates tons of errors, everything else works fine from what i can tell its just i cant pick up battery banks.

Any idea if it's possible for me to change a setting to increase the power range that the arrays provide? I (for some reason) like setting up base in the Rosewood Prison, but with both generators and solar panels having only a 20 tile range, I can't unnecessarily power the whole prison as I'd like.

If there are any mods that increase generator range, I don't know what they're called or where I can find them.

Would you consider making a FAQ section in your description, by chance? I'm sure it's been asked before yet that's a lot of comments to go through to find out and I don't see it brought up in the discussions, yet I'd like to know if rotation of the panel is meaningful in any way.

bruh, the mod doesn't work, i can't craft anything and find anything related to this mod, and i clearly have it on, i also have the target square:on load commands, i think it was working before i turned on britas weapon pack, bruh if that's not compatible with britas weapon pack then this mod sucks ass.

You can change the wiring time in the sandbox settings. Use the mod that lets you change your settings in an existing game if you're already on a play through.

Agree with Alvyboi about the wiring time for panels being pretty ridiculous... crafting should take a long time, wiring should be fast.

To others asking where to find them, they will spawn in some warehouse crates around town, I've found 7 so far just in my little town. They're there, even if you add the mod to a game already in progress. Just be sure to look in industrial buildings you've not already looted and haven't already been visited.

Can we get an update because time to make and time to wire solar panels up seems backwards. I feel as if it should not take hours to wire a panel up rather then 4 seconds to make them.

I love this mod but like the only thing i would change or hope that it would change is the solar panel connect range! could you maybe add an option for sandbox to change the setting. So people could do maybe 1 solar panel field instead of having 10 panels for every building?

Awesome mod, thanks much! It seems this mod isn't getting added to `Mods=` on pzserver when using any of the mod id grabber/generator websites. It is because of the way "Mod ID:" is inside the table and not a text string like the other mods so it can't be extracted.

Having a strange consumption discrepancy with lights, each panel produces around 27Ah, but my base with 24 lights and one fridge has a consumption of 500+Ah. According to the github wiki, lights should only take 2~Ah to power. Am I doing something wrong or is it bugged?

mod options dont show up in mp when making or loading save, other mods options do, it will show up in the ingame sandbox options mod, but those options dont stick/save, making it impossible to set sandbox settings for this mod in mp

I doubt it's caused by this mod. Hop into discord and ask for assistance. Make sure that this version is running and not an older one, try with and without the mod in debug mode.
