I'm not sure how Naeglhin supposedly got it working last year. I use Patch 17 (not Patch 18), and I have been testing this mod on its own, with no other mods activated. Everything goes fine until I begin a battle. No matter where the battle is, the game always crashes just before the battle is finished loading. This unit is not a part of the battle, so I don't know exactly why this mod is faulty, but I no longer have any doubts about it...

This mod does not work.

It should be working for Macedon, I just forgot to add that to the description. Although if you have tried and it isn't working I may have forgotten something in which case I will try to address the issue.

Can you make it available for Macedon, please?

This is also a thrusting weapon.

Technically the odrysians should have them but this is in another mod now. One thing I would like to note because most don't know. The falx notches into a full wooden handle, the rhomphaia is solid metal all the way thru the handle, that is why the less efficient curve is as good or better than a falx at dismemberment and defeating armor. Also it was sharpened on either side unlike the falx. This is a true pole arm comparable to a naginata or later armor piercers, it had counter weight so the handle would extend down past the hands more, even if from hand position. These are way more powerful than a falx, like double the impact. Afalx cutting a man in half was lucky and rare, with this it takes less skill or intent to get that result.
I believe a full handle reconstruction would cut through a Roman shiueld and segmented armor.

I feel they aren't necessary due to the fact that they are extremely similar to Thracian Nobles.
HighKnightsHemplar 30 Jul, 2014 @ 12:00pm
is it for the odrysian kingdom too?

I have added the unit to Macedon's roster. Apologies for the delay.

Nocternus 17 Jul, 2014 @ 9:15am

Selecus Nicator 16 Jul, 2014 @ 6:13am
Thanks alot. I'll test it out now.

done

Please make this unit availible for the Seleucids. The dyansty came from North-Western Macedon and the Empire had huge numbers of Thracian colonists.

I wasn't planing to do such a unit and I have alot of work to do for my custom faction mod, but if I get the time I could try. Alternatively you could search for sebidee's unit creation template and follow the steps there like I did :)

Can you make a strong two handed axemen unit for the iceni? Other mods have two handed axemen, but are smaller in unit size and get demolished by other units.
