Yep i did that. I disabled tsunami's and it still spawns them as the first disaster every new game load. even setting chance to 0 does nothing in combination with disable.

@TaliaKuznetsova By default it's the most common disaster rather than only. I haven't been checking on this addon lately, but I assume everything should still work.

You can change the chances through the settings for each disaster type when you first create a new save game.

Does a tsunami ALWAYS spawn as the default disaster when making a world? I have them turned off and it always is the first disaster on a world no matter what (i havent noticed em after that tho but game doesnt like long saves)

@Totoyo25 If I was to guess you'll see two announcements instead of one.

I don't think anything should crash to my knowledge.

What happens if Zizo's Natural Disaster Announcements is enabled alongside this?
If I had to guess it probably just crashes the game.

I tried this mod out for a bit and I saw a disaster warning. I left them on just in case the mod breaks. I thought it was a glitch and ignored it. Like 30 seconds later I see a tsunami in the distance. I don't know if this is a glitch or the mod just does not work.

@Void Sure, that sounds like a great idea. This is probably the first time for a lot of lovely folks to use an environment addon.
@snek1253 That's what I set the minimum to apparently. So yes if you are that adventurous it's possible.
Void 27 May, 2022 @ 1:12pm
Can you make a video showing how to access the settings?
snek1253 27 May, 2022 @ 12:07pm

@A-10 Warthog enjoyer When you create a new game go to Enable Addons, go to the workshop section, click on "Better Natural Disasters" addon and change the settings as you wish.

Installation guide is in the description. Let me know if anything confuses you or if it for some reason doesn't show up.
Kebabit 26 May, 2022 @ 11:15am

@Hara Negatory! That's part of the vanilla mission system and separate from what this is specifically messing with(random natural disasters).

If you think a mod that does this would be a good thing maybe later I could look into it, however, I do believe vanilla missions have a setting for this though already included.
🎀Hara🎀 25 May, 2022 @ 5:37pm
Will this effect the Vanilla Missions that spawn related to disasters?
Commando950  [author] 21 May, 2022 @ 6:47pm
@renamcvey Hi friendo. When you go to create a new game, go to Enabled Addons, and then click the workshop tab. Make sure to enable my addon and then disable the Natural Disasters addon that the game has by default in the Official tab.

I'll update the installation instructions in the description to make it easier to understand. I think I could have improved the wording.
