Would it be possible to get a modular version of this? I really only want the Caveflax.
BattIeBear  [author] 30 Jun @ 5:05am
@Frayo, I looked into it, and carpet can only be made out of cloth (no synthweave, devilstrand, wools/furs, etc.). Caveflax produces cloth, so you can use that to create carpet.
Frayo 30 Jun @ 12:47am
Do you think it would be worth the effort to add the option to make darkstrand carpets or floors? Well, maybe not since devilstrand doesn't offer it either.
BattIeBear  [author] 28 Apr @ 3:44am
Updated to 1.5, and should have fixed the issue with the Vegan meme as well as the incorrect darkstrand color! Please let me know if there are any issues!
BattIeBear  [author] 2 Feb @ 2:29pm
Hello! Yes, I am back into modding currently so I definitely plan on doing a full cleanup of my Undergrounders mods (backwards compatible, of course!)
Frayo 2 Feb @ 3:10am
This is awesome, probably one of the greatest mods for when you play in a Caverns biome.

Though I noticed that things built with darkstrand still appear red, as if constructed with regular devilstrand, and not the pleasant pastel purple. Any chance of this being patched/changed?
BattIeBear  [author] 10 Apr, 2023 @ 3:29pm
Hello! Atm I'm not really interested in replacing vanilla textures (actually all of my textures are just modified vanilla ones to make sure the "look" vanilla) so probably not going to add mushroom reskins for the trees.

I will absolutely look into the Vegan bad thought though, though since its from Vanilla Ideology Expanded it might be out of the scope of this mod.
G-Fiti 10 Apr, 2023 @ 2:14pm
Hey another thing I just noticed. Vanilla Ideology Expanded Memes and Structures adds a Vegan meme, which includes bads thoughts when wearing leather apparel.

The thought goes as follows: "I'm wearing clothing made with animal leather. Slaugfhtering an animal to use its skin as apparel is cruel and inhumane"

This is also caused by fungus leather. I'm not sure if thats fixable on your side though
G-Fiti 8 Apr, 2023 @ 1:31pm
Good to know thank you! Another suggestion, if I may: Anima tree and Gauranlen tree shroom reskins, Anima one also needs to be changed to glow without light (pref replantable), Gaurenlen already need none afaik.
BattIeBear  [author] 7 Apr, 2023 @ 3:45am
Plantable Timbershroom is already a standalone mod (made by me!) and is included in the complete collection!
G-Fiti 7 Apr, 2023 @ 2:20am
Do you take suggestions? Plantable Timbershroom would be nice to have along the others :)
Rekam Amnell 4 Apr, 2023 @ 5:38pm
You sir are a space tech level human
Rat 18 Dec, 2022 @ 8:54pm
i may or may not want that because i love darkstrand
Rat 18 Dec, 2022 @ 8:18pm
I think it would be nice if these could also be grown in hydroponics like nutrifungus
Agraza 16 Nov, 2022 @ 11:48pm
appreciate this creation. makes being a tunneler a lot more tolerable.

i do think darkstrand could use a little more tradeoff. would you consider bumping its cold insulation so it has one material advantage? perhaps tighten its growing temps to something like fermentation to make its challenge temperature management?
Azurel Morningstar 24 Oct, 2022 @ 7:36pm
the mushrooms continue! woot! :steamhappy:
Masked Monster 23 Oct, 2022 @ 5:52am
As a man who play A LOT with mountainbases, this mod was really needed :btd6thumbsup:
BattIeBear  [author] 23 Oct, 2022 @ 5:32am
Updated for 1.4! Let me know of any issues as I'm not currently doing an undergrounders playthrough.
Mereni 23 Oct, 2022 @ 5:21am
Yep he’s working on it @Sirjames101
Sirjames101 22 Oct, 2022 @ 7:21pm
hey is 1.4 being worked on for this mod? since it really is quite the game changer for tunneler colonies.
Azurel Morningstar 1 Jun, 2022 @ 12:10pm
MUSHROOMS!
:steamhappy:
BattIeBear  [author] 26 May, 2022 @ 4:29pm
@Flurbel The caveflax functions exactly like cotton, so the cloth it produces should be interchangeable. The darkstrand functions like devilstrand, but the two cannot be mixed. Anything you can make out of devilstrand you should be able to make out of darkstrand.
Flurbel 26 May, 2022 @ 11:35am
Do I still need cotton and devilstrand for certain recipes like armor?
Azurel Morningstar 26 May, 2022 @ 10:46am
the mushroom mod collection grows :steamhappy:
Azurel Morningstar 24 May, 2022 @ 12:02am

thanks! i really liked
PearificPear 20 May, 2022 @ 6:42am
Really loving all you're doing. This is great for an undergrounder experience! The synergy with "Biomes! Caveworld Flora Unleashed" seems great as well.

Thought about expanding the medicine aspect of the mushrooms? A new type of growable medicine, food that increase immunity gain rate and so on? I mean, penicillin is made from mold. Could be some cool things that could be done there. Maybe some crossover content between the two mods even?

Don't let me (or anyone else) try and dictate your modding though. From the work you have done so far, I am very excited to see what is to come!
Annabellee 19 May, 2022 @ 10:24pm
maybe add a plant for cave hay
BattIeBear  [author] 19 May, 2022 @ 5:15pm
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Sartassa 19 May, 2022 @ 11:11am
thx.
love it
PALE-DRIVER 19 May, 2022 @ 8:58am
cool mod. thank you!
BattIeBear  [author] 18 May, 2022 @ 4:29am
@LiamD Just learned mushroom leather is a thing! I have an idea of how to implement that, give me a bit and look out for the next update!
LiamD 17 May, 2022 @ 6:36pm
@BattleBear would like to see a fungal leather equilivent as mushroom leather is a thing in real life
BattIeBear  [author] 17 May, 2022 @ 1:18pm
Annabellee 17 May, 2022 @ 8:41am
what other underground mods you have make
BattIeBear  [author] 17 May, 2022 @ 4:13am
@HappyTrigg Updated, thanks for the input!
BattIeBear  [author] 17 May, 2022 @ 4:13am
@LiamD Thanks, I have a few more in the works already!
HappyTrigg 17 May, 2022 @ 3:53am
Was looking on wiki comparing blunt protections. All in game wools and cloth have none. Alot of the colder climate leathers have around 0.24× multiplier, like bear, wolf and muffalo. Chinchilla fur has a 0.14× multiplier. So if you were to add blunt prot I'd say somewhere between those two values would be balanced but still well far off synthread, devilstrand or hyperweave. Would mainly be an incentive to use it for prison riots to soften some punches but not to an extreme level and I guess a small buff for tunneler vegans that can't use leathers.
LiamD 16 May, 2022 @ 11:28pm
As someone who nearly always plays mountain bases I love this and the other underground mods you have made. Excited to see more underground stuff. Good work
BattIeBear  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 5:45pm
@HappyTrigg Temperature tolerances are slightly better than cloth, with sharp protection being higher than many natural sources (actually just increased it). I don't want to give it blunt armor as well as it is supposed to be a decent mid-game fabric for underground playstyle, not a true replacement for devilstrand.

That being said, keep up the suggestions. I take everything into consideration and while I don't want to make this OP, I do want to make sure it's useful!
HappyTrigg 16 May, 2022 @ 5:15pm
Had a chance to look at the stats on it and noticed it doesn't seem to offer any blunt protection not sure if that's intended or not. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Could be an error on my end though with some modded clothing but I was comparing it directly to devilstrand when I noticed it.
PearificPear 16 May, 2022 @ 4:17pm
Looks cool! Love mods that expand upon the undergrounder/mountain playstyle.
BattIeBear  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 7:40am
Thanks for the feedback! I re-read my original description and I definitely had a bit of "coder brain" when writing it. Updated it to be more clear.
HappyTrigg 15 May, 2022 @ 10:00pm
Doesn't devilstrand already cover high heat scenarios. Would be cooler if the darkstrand was like a cold resistance, thematically it's grown in like dark cold cave. Unless I'm just misinterpreted your description. Great mod nonetheless
Echo the Nomad 15 May, 2022 @ 1:23pm
Pretty cool, keep up the good work
