Hey dude. LOVING your mods and have all the performance enhancers installed. However im still getting loads of lag and framerate drops in areas and dungeons that have open fires, candles or a lot of lighting reflections - for example icy caves. - At least this is what it seems to me is the issue. Is there any chance you could look into this as well? <3 cheers. and thank you so much

My laptop couldn't maintain a steady 60fps on it's own and any performance mod I tried made things worse. Except these! These work fantastically! I don't think I've noticeably dipped below 60 since using this whole series of mods.

@Clockwork Crown EXTREME GRASS DENSITY SUPER TALL EDITION [2019 HD TEXTURES]

Review: So great! I can't even see anything but the grass obscuring my view!
Clockwork Crown 29 Dec, 2019 @ 9:17pm
do you think you can do one for clouds? not fog but the actual clouds, i heard from multiple videos that removing clouds increases the fps but i cant seem to find a mod like that on steam. same thing with grass mods, its really annoying when i look up "less grass" and i get stuff like "DOUBLE GRASS DENSITY" cuz thats totally what im looking for

Great work with these performance mods. You Rock! :cozyskyrimvr:

I have all of your other performance mods installed (they rock, pun intended), and I'd really like to use this one, but the floating moss is a real immersion breaker. Is there a way to add back just the rocks that go with the moss?

you're awesome, skrim is unplayable for me for the most part but this helps me to encourage myself to save for a computer

brilliant mod, simple yet effective
Paxtoranius 17 Sep, 2015 @ 10:03pm
Sensible mod. It's not actually the mod itself (I mean what's a few rocks) but the concept of working in with other impactive mods you may have and like a lot of course.

Too many mods mostly with followers and clothing, hair etc are huge performance hitters even if they are pretty,... ergo, mods that target performance advantages are therefore a logical step if you want to keep a dynamically armoured, pretty follower with lovely face, eyes, lips, teeth, scripts etc. Faders, sliders, colour tweaks are all attractive but can also hit your gameplay in so many ways no matter their appeal or how clever they are. I love them all but don't have new Alienware!

Anyway I prefer to be alone after level 35 or so for most of the performance reasons discussed even with a solid performing system, but I treat my favourites to a few days out now and then!

all i gotta say is keep up the good work. Though i have a pretty decent computer, i am running a lot of mods and it causes horrible lag. Your series of performance enhancing mods have really helped out.
sromshek 20 Aug, 2014 @ 8:41pm
How about a mod that removes strongholdes from game if your not into orge for example.Or mod to remove groups of creatures like the rats?
TheOtherGuy  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 7:00pm
*is
TheOtherGuy  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 7:00pm
Omg! of course not :D keep sending ideas. well the weapons thing still wouldnt do much. It almost has to be something big. i'll give you an idea. The bigger the object, it gets slower. Perfect example, Trees. If you download a mod that makes trees bigger, you will have a fps drop, even with the same textures. so what I would probably do if remove useless big objects. Like the performance mod that helps the most is trees. 1st, theres a lot to render. 2nd, Its big. Anyways keep sending ideas.
sromshek 20 Aug, 2014 @ 5:12pm
I also had a idea for a mod that would auto clean all droped weapons from enemeys in skyrim, caves, dungeons etc.It would help with save file bloat and performance.Hopefully I don't annoy to much with ideas let me know.
sromshek 20 Aug, 2014 @ 5:08pm
cool just a thought.I'm really new to all the innerworkings of performance mods.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 1:00pm
*It wouldnt do even 1 fps boost.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 12:59pm
Honestly, theres not enought glowing mushrooms, to increase in performance. I wouldnt do even 1 fps boost, so its kinda useless, ill try to find other performance boosters .
sromshek 20 Aug, 2014 @ 9:15am
no I was thinking like glowing mushrooms.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 20 Aug, 2014 @ 6:15am
It is very possible, i think i will do that, but just one thing. Do you want to remove the plants in caves? because im afraid that the plants in caves are the same outside so if i remove them from the game, the ones in the forest will be removed too.
sromshek 19 Aug, 2014 @ 7:18pm
Ah i see. That really could be a good idea.So what did you think about the idea of removing plants etc from caves?
TheOtherGuy  [author] 19 Aug, 2014 @ 1:04pm
Well i didnt mean the clouds outside in the sky, the clouds around mountains, almost like fog.
sromshek 19 Aug, 2014 @ 11:10am
I think lossing clouds would take to much of the beauty from skyrim.
sromshek 19 Aug, 2014 @ 11:08am
I don't think anyone would miss the cave mushrooms and fungus maybe the alcomists among us.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 19 Aug, 2014 @ 6:29am
Im trying to boost performance whitout affecting much the quality of the game.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 19 Aug, 2014 @ 6:28am
Yes, is lets say i remove all plants and shrubs, not grass in forest you get a 5 fps boost, i tested it, but it looks like crap. So ill see about that.
sromshek 18 Aug, 2014 @ 2:44pm
cool.I was also thinking does removing things like cave mushrooms and such help with fps?
TheOtherGuy  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 12:18pm
Well, i recently did a new performance mod that removes clouds, but steam wont let me upload it. like a error. So, ill see for others because me too, personally i'm trying to improve my gameplay. so dont worry.
sromshek 18 Aug, 2014 @ 8:36am
I have all your performance mods. They work wonderfully and have really unlocked the game and allowed for a great many more mods.I love your work. Are you working on any other performance mods or is this about all that can be done?
infamousreptillian 28 Jul, 2014 @ 4:17pm

Theotherguy, you have a great set of mods going, ive installed your other mods, and there just awesome, my skyrim hasnt crashed once, these are brilliant, thx.
TheOtherGuy  [author] 9 Jul, 2014 @ 6:06am
Sure it will :P
Night-Ram 8 Jul, 2014 @ 10:13pm
I hope this will help the little lag I have !
AerintheGREAT 8 Jul, 2014 @ 6:52pm
I actually have started to slowly add these mods into my gargantuan subscriptions list though, and so far I haven't noticed any compatibility issues. I've got the 'no underwater grasses' and the 'no small plant animations' and so far no problems at all. :D:
AerintheGREAT 8 Jul, 2014 @ 6:50pm
It's not a matter of liking it or not. I trust that it works. I just have a ton of mods running on my Skyrim already and adding one or subtracting another sometimes throws all kinds of crap against the wall and before I know it I've spent an hour and a half getting the game and the mods to all play nicely with each other again :-P... So I'm mostly interested in any kind of known compatibility issues.
A lot of other people seem to be asking for comparison screenshots too, so I think those would be a good idea as well, even though I personally don't see them as being absolutely necessary.

Also, your avatar is excellent. I was listening to that album on the way home from work today :cybereye:
