Is it possible to add a noise reduction percentage in the description of the created Silencer? For example: Reduces shot noise by 80%. It’s not clear how effective the created Silencer is.

Hey love the mod since it seems like the most balanced silencer mod on the workshop currently. Just wanted to let you know that placing any guns in the world with the Homemade Silencer on causes the can to appear off alittle. Any chance of it being fixed?

The M29 revolver's silencer model is skewed, the silencer points to the floor. It doesn't do anything but doesn't look very nice

how do i actually put this suppressor on the M9 pistol
Talismon  [author] 28 Mar, 2022 @ 6:07pm
@Thunderator I believe you're right, and given that I don't think I will change the real suppressor. If I do change the homemade suppressor functionality beyond vanilla at all, I will consider making a different version
Thunderator 28 Mar, 2022 @ 5:27pm
Hey, but the vanilla weapon mods does not have condition, do they? If you plan to put durabity in this, I'll politely ask for 2 separate versions, only1 item in the workshop, but with 2 files to choose, one with and one without durability. Thanks again for the mod
Talismon  [author] 28 Mar, 2022 @ 3:46pm
@pYno at the moment yes, working on that part. I would like the tin can to be more effective but break quickly.
pynoTTV 28 Mar, 2022 @ 9:44am
have they infinite durability?
Thunderator 27 Mar, 2022 @ 7:59pm
Thank you for your hard work, I'll use as it is :D

@Thunderator Thanks! I'm open to any suggestions on this. The original was a bit op. I made this mod for me and my friend who likes a more vanilla experience, in light of that i found irl suppressors on average are closer to 20-30% effectiveness on decibel reduction, but after playing around on debug mode for a while 50% seemed to be a fair compromise.

Hey, your concept for the crafting is really reallistic, better than the original imo, but I have a question: why did you changed the sound reductions so much? What was your thought behind it, it was too op?
Talismon  [author] 24 Mar, 2022 @ 9:47am
@bebetostr - From what I've tested, you will need to restart your game for them to spawn in the world, but you can add the mod at any time for just crafting them. In my mind you need 7 units because you roll each of the 6 small metal sheets into core baffles, tack them together (1 unit propane each), stick them in the pipe, and seal the baffles in. (1 additional unit)

Do we need to start a new game? Why 7 units of propane torch???
