Yeah I think it's safe to say this mod is abandoned. I looked at the files and it's too far beyond my understanding or i'd try and update it. I can read the files, but don't have the attention span to look into what language it's in to determine what needs updated....

Yeah, I'm having the same issue; can't use this and build the palace of justice or edict buildings. Also can't add this mod back into a game where those have been built.

i cant build the palace of justice once i unlock it because it does not work with this mod. when i start a new map without this mod active i can build the palace of justice.

Hi Frankbkk i was checking your nice mod with the new dlc and palace of justice. And for me it seems all things work with the new tourist dlc.
But It does not work with palace of justice and the fast order dock. At the fast order dock the new books u can buy stay at the dock and the town doesnt get them. Only your mod i use^^

Merchant ship brings a lot of former version items. I can't produce most medicines and I imagine other things are outdated. Will there be an update?

I also noticed that there are very very few births when I have only large houses. As soon as I build a few normal houses the birth rate is back to normal.

Some of the items are appearing as former version bla bla not with their original name due to which some production buildings do not work as probably name mismatch.

Hi frankbkk, it seems when i use your awesome mod as soon as i have build the wishing well i cannot save the game file or load it. It gets stuk in de menu. tested it when its active and when its not. the game just freezes in loading screen or save screen. Probl has to do with the recent update is there a work around it?

Hi frankbkk.. I think there are a number of small issues in the current mod. Things in the events and ui, trading boat files have changed a somewhat in the new version. Not sure if you want to go through these now or await documentation.

Hi guys - if any problems occur with the mod let me know and I try to fix them.

Once I can find a decent documentation for all the changes that have recently been introduced I will also add new features but until then I just focus on keeping the mod compatible 'as is'

@frankbbk: Looking good, but the tech screen still shows Civic Square and Tent (even though you can build the latrine etc). Also they have updated files like the Event/PassiveEvent/TradingBoat .xml's, you might want to check things in there as well.

Paper and Book should now work properly.
SuperFood should work as well. When used Hunger and Thirst are set to zero, Health and Happiness goes up. I get both Health and Happiness Tiers up to 300%
Herbalist and Marquee can be built via the normal Build Menu once the Tech is researched.

@frankbkk: Downloaded the new version, but there is still a problem with the tech menu with it. It still shows the old one with Civic Square and the Tent rather then the new Herbalist and Marquee. However the latrine does appear in the build menu. Good thing is that the mod appears to work with their new version with the awful UI they have now.
I'll leave you to go through the list of what the Wishing Well can make and remove those former-version things and fix the "paper" :) Seems Wishing Well paper is different to paper in the game now - maybe an ID change. Superfood seems useless now too.

@Ameret : Thanks for your valuable info - that brought me on the right track to fix this.
The latest update 0.9.10 should now support all new buildings.

Part 2: (it all didn't fit into one post)

For me the wishing well menu now ends up on the left rather then the right hand side on the bottom toolbar. But the tech and latrine work fine.

Note: I didn't do anything with the other language files, in actual fact I removed all other language files (in case these caused issues). So if you don't want english, this may not work for you. Also this isn't fully tested but I haven't had problems yet. Keep a copy of the old files if you have problems (or re-subscribe the mod).

Apologies to frankbbk if he didn't want this information here, but.. If you want a quick fix to the missing latrine, tech menu issues you can edit the Lang.xml Lang_English.xml and UIButton.xml files in the mod. Simply make new ones containing just frankkbbk's work rather then the whole thing. In the first 2 this is easily found near the bottom and starts with "<!--FrankBKK:". Create new Lang.xml & Lang_English.xml files with the text from here to the end. Ensure the files start with <ArrayOfLangConfig> and end with </ArrayOfLangConfig>.
For the UIButton.xml, the text at the bottom starts from "<!--Level 1 button: NEW MOD Button". So copy all this to the end. Make sure the new file starts with <ArrayOfUIButtonConfig> and ends with </ArrayOfUIButtonConfig>.

First of all, thank you very much for your production and sharing. I am a Chinese player, so these are all machine translations. Please forgive me.

Another.. In the actual Wishing Well menu (where you select things to make in the well) there is still a Medicine menu that contains a number of items that maybe don't exist anymore - thus you get this 'former-version' listing again. Don't think it's causing an actual problem.

Ha! Sorry, my mistake, the mod didn't actually load - even though I added it. So the latrine showed because the mod wasn't actually loaded. Seems like every time you add a mod or remove a mod you have to restart the game for it to take effect properly.
So.. the Tech tree Livability thing needs fixing.

I notice there's a difference in the tech tree. You have the old Tech-livability-civic square and now it's Tech-livability-Herbalist. I noticed this when trying to find the "latrine" to build - wasn't in the game. So I started a game without the mod and it was there (after getting that tech). I then re-added the mod and tried a new game and the latrine was there. I then loaded the old save and it was there as well. So something odd, one time not being there and another time it is. Could be some issue with the Tech tree perhaps.

I also expirienced on occasion some weird behaviour with saved games when changing something in the Mod files - try if it works with a new game - if this turns out to work ok try again with your savegame - that usually does the trick for me ;-)

Version 0.9.9 of WishingWell should fix the housing problems - please let me know if there are still issues.

the game starts with the mod i can use the content but somehow it becomes deactivated.

It doesn´t show in the list of mods on the picture of the savefile and in the MOD menu i have to activate it again before i load or the game crashes.

your big house seems to be the old version before they introduced the buff list, the inhabitants count as homeless

the buff they added ( for Garden Villa)

<HomeProvideHealthValue>150</HomeProvideHealthValue>

gives housing buff 15 in the game.

They also changed the heating stuff. My settlers in the modded houses did die next winter after the update.

@Ameret : Please try the latest version 0.9.8 and let me know if there are still issues.

All new items can now be generated in Wishing Well and can also be properly stored in the Giant Warehouse.

The Resources Menu issues have been resolved as well.

For now I keep the deprecated items in the Mod and will remove them at a later time.

@frankbkk, I think there is a problem with the update. Doesn't work correctly and I think it has to do with the menu and items in the game. The mod seems to use the old menu lists and the updated game has a new menu list (Resources button top left). It doesn't match up a lot of the game items anymore and you just get "former-version". Also the mod puts back things like the Herb (medicine) menu, which no longer exists in the current game.

it works well in original, can unlock achievement, save so much time on blueprint achievement after wasting 80+ hrs just can't get the last 3 blueprints.
however it doesn't work on alpha version, with it, i can't have latrine to build, no latrine icon. I test a new game without this mod, latrine shows...

Hello, I've got your mod loaded (only mod actually) but I dont see a white square at the bottom. I noticed further back on comments that i needed to delete something?

@Ameret : IDK - probably just forgot to delete them when copying the games original files ;-)
If you use another Mod that modifies these sections it will throw a warning msg. on loading but the game should work fine anyway - that's also the reason why I use new ID's for all items I have modified - so they don't conflict with other mods.

Question. Why do you have configuration added for things like building ID8, which is the Luxury Apartments, when this building isn't part of the mod? What happens is, if you use another mod that alters that building then the mods conflict.

@schorsch_morsch: You can set the storage level of the big house in file buildings.xml - Line 5580 or so - look for <StorageLimit>50000</StorageLimit> and change accordingly.
It's in the Building Section BuildingConfig> <ID>990002</ID>

Your super house is very nice to start the game but the storage of the house sucks up all the food and water (1200 water x 1000 food).

I hope you can adjust this, thank you.
