@Evam you're being an ass for no reason. There's plenty of mods that work fine on 1.4 despite being flagged 1.3
of course most of them are flagged as 1.4 by now, but I still play with several that aren't and it plays fine

If someone needs updated version I {LINK VERWIJDERD} existing source with version 1.4 and it seems to work (mod configuration dialog is present, also tried to spawn few beggar events and they seemed fine)

Hi Dolphin, I have a suggestion: Over the years I have abducted a few beggars, thrown them in prison and converted them to my side. They are now valuable members of my village.
Unfortunately I always have to kill all the other beggars, when I kidnap one of them, which I dont like, because it is not realistic.
Would it be possible to create an interaction or event or something to offer a beggar >of my choice< to live with us? Perhaps against some payment (their weight in plasteel or the like ;-})
This would be realistic and win/win for the beggars, the one to live with us and ourselves...
That would be very cool...

I like this mod. Without it I would most often than not haywire and kill or imprison the beggars because what they asked for was just ludicrous and - in fact - insulting to me. Another example for how making everything balanced kind of destroys some ideas Tynan puts into the game. Not everything HAS to be balanced to make sense or flavour the game.

@robotninjaanna I'll definitely look into that, but I want to make sure that the beggar events are never totally positive because charity is supposed to be a bit difficult. I'll definitely consider it though!

Not sure if this is something others have noticed or not, but I just installed this mod recently and while I'm loving it in concept, I'm getting a tad frustrated with the "beggars are chased and want to join temporarily" quest. I have ideology installed and whenever i get these "guests" they get so unhappy in my colony that they constantly throw tantrums and destroy my stuff. Is there any way we can get some sort of "being helped in desperate times" moodlet to counteract this?

@PeasantUnit That's a vanilla issue too. Had that when beggars came during a manhunting animal pack event.

Idk if this is a problem in vanilla, but a duo of beggars walked into a megaspider nest, got attacked and I received the "beggars betrayed" alert

@Fokson Armed charity work. I like the sound of that! Silver I may not always have enough of, but bullets (and generally) bodies I always have in abundance to throw at a problem.

A feature I'd love to see, though I'm not sure if it's within the scope of this mod, would be alternate options on how you help beggars. "We need 35600 silver to pay for our friend's ransom!" "Okay, how about instead I go rescue your friend myself for the low cost price of not that?"

@Hyomoto You CAN, up to a certain point. In vanilla Ideology, beggars ask for a 0.85x multiplier on colony wealth, this mod allows you to change it from 0.1 up to 2x. So anywhere from a tenth of your colony wealth, up to TWICE your colony wealth. Although, if your colony is worth millions, and they show up begging for millions, we don't call them beggars anymore. We call those "scam artists", and we sic the bionic wargs on them.

One of the beggars had a mental break and slaughtered my animals, however when I arrest him the other beggars turned against me, I saved their lives and they slaughter my animals in return...

I was hoping that this was going to put an upper limit on their asks. I know Beggars are basically a resource sink but they universally ask for too much. When you have nothing they want what you have, so you don't give them anything. When you have stuff, they want everything you have and so you don't give them anything. There's nothing wrong with your mod specifically, but that was what I was looking for when I checked the page.

@Dolphin Boy yeah the issue is that beggars would ask for drugs still sealed within an ancient danger. So if luciferium is in an ancient danger, beggars would come asking for that.

I think an ability to limit how much of certain items they ask for would be nice, I've been asked for 210 medkits because ONE PERSON was injured

@Dolphin Boy, I should have had the default items only and the map was clean. I can't rule out an odd mod conflict, but can't imagine what would cause that kind of issue. had to restart a few times since then so ill keep my eye on it

@Coolchilion they shouldn't be able to, I have seen it happen as a bug occasionally though so let me know if you see it happening

@Lincrono that shouldn't be happening, are you using the standard items or any extras? Is there definitely not extra items somewhere on the map but not a part of your stockpile?

has anyone else had an issue with beggars now asking for stuff you don't actually have? i've tried several settings from about .25 to .7 and keep getting asked for the normal stuff, but in amounts i simply don't have.

@Kaooa Your player.log file should have the errors if you crashed even without dev mode on, if you're able to share that it would be a big help

"desperate". I cannot claim to call anyone desperate coming and asking for about as much silver as robbing a national banks gold storage in RL. I open a discussion about how unbalanced, not thought trough and stupid charity events are in this DLC. Tynan never playtested charity colonys/ and doesnt even want that stuff in the game, but I guess putting something really bad optimized like that in the game will still attract customers that dreamed of playing that way, after purchasing the DLC /which cant be given back on steam then notice that they have been pulled over the table.

Nice to see modders give us reasons to play everyday. Thanks you very kindly sir/mam.

Pin do you actually have beggars asking for persona cores? they always ask for just silver or herbal medicine from me, i usually refuse.
