@Tom Jackal if possible try arresting your slaves to convert them, pretty sure if you arrest a slave or colonists they will have zero will and can be immediately re enslaved. Might not be the best suggestion but if you're not too worried about losing a worker for a bit to get them converted then it should work

@Tom Jackal Had a look at it but only prisoners can be converted. I guess it would be possible to duplicate the conversion-code for slaves as well but that is not really maintainable, at least not as I see it.

enslaved pawns have the warden options:
none
suppress
imprison
emancipate

prisoners have the option to convert

@Tom Jackal Never used slaves in my game but I assumed you could convert them like any other pawn?

Prison Labor by Avius, it forces prisoners to work for you, basically similar to slaves afaik.

When I set the prisoners to convert & enslave, it converts, then reduces will, but then for some reason recruits them?

Excuse me Mlie, do you think you could make a Convert + Release? I'm trying to change my colonies ideology from vanilla-ish to transhuman because our tech level has gone up a lot and I can support it. Convert + Release would save me a lot of micromanagement. Happy to sponser you for it.

when i set a captured wild woman to convert then enslave, it bypasses the need to tame them first. usually, i think its supposed to go imprison -> tame -> enslave, but when imprisoned even though the option to enslave is gone the option to convert then enslave remains, which allows directly enslaving, which IIRC bypasses the original need to tame first.

Yeah, I know. So you want to get them so they can be enslaved immediately once they are successfully converted. For recruiting, that means you want to reduce resistance first. For enslaving, that means you want to reduce will first

@Sledjer I think the lower resistance was to prevent them having an Ideological crisis during the enslaving phase

Well, yeah I understand that. The problem is that resistance doesn't matter at all for slave recruiting. What I suggested is essentially a proper translation from the thing in the other mod in this one, since what you need to reduce is willpower, NOT resistance.

Yeah I suspect you have copied over the option from the convert then recruit mod without actually adapting it. The correct application here would be to reduce their will to 0, then convert, then enslave.

I don't know if it's possible, but would a slave ideology be feasible? I feel like once people are converted to my ideology they're equal to my own colonists and shouldn't be enslaved

@Dedenne As adding the ideology selector requires transpliling, something I have little experience with I think you can select convert, select ideology and then convert enslave

I think in vanilla we can't enslave wild people because the option "enslave" and "recruit" didn't appear, only "convert and enslave" and "convert and recruit."

@Mile It would just save a step in prisoner management. One button to both reduce resistance to lower the chance of a prison break, and converting them at the same time. Instead of clicking the convert and then switching to reduce resistance once the conversion is complete.

Its not really that big of an issue unless you've got 20+ prisoners, and other mods like drag select can save time.

Kind of like how a Force to Work and Reduce Resistance combo would also be useful in streamlining prisoner management.

But again, its not a big issue. Just something I think would improve the process and streamline it a bit.
