its smooth and not good for long ranges, should be more sharp at the tip

Great reticle. The only issue is the top of the chevron, its far too smooth and rounded. Honestly I'm not sure if its ment to be that way, but it does pose some precision issues at longer ranges. A more precise angle on the chevron would be perfect. Other that that it's phenomenal.
F0XSQUAD 10 Mar, 2017 @ 8:18am
As I said a long time ago, the reticle is not very accurate, it seems a bit too rounded at the top (that is wat I meant with blurry) and I am not sure where it actually hits? Does it hit on the tip of the ^ or inside the ^ or just on the ^?

Please update this sometime, I love this reticle but it is not nice to play with in this game.

Is it possible to have this for the PO 4x24 as well??
Xero 30 Jun, 2016 @ 1:52pm
Can confirm about the "red haze." 4 years USMC infantry. We would cover 3/4 of the tritium tube with black electrical tape so that it had enough light to function but not so much that it washed out the chevron. At night the chevron would show a dark maroon color without light to fuel the illumination, so you could peel back the tape and let in a little more to get the glow you needed. Excellent optic.

Actually, It is quite realistic to have that "red haze" over the reticle. I thought it was quite unrealistic as well until my friends, who's father was in the military, said that light constantly leaked though the fiber optic cable and gave the illuminated part of the reticle a distinct red haze around it. So soldiers resorted to wrapping tape around the fiber and that got rid of the haze.

doesn't seem to work....

Help piz i can't get it to work!?!?
Krisu 10 Jul, 2015 @ 11:26am
Nice, but not accurate enough (see below comment).
F0XSQUAD 11 Jun, 2015 @ 6:54am
It is a really nice reticle, but the red V is just a little to blurry, could you make it a little sharper at the tip?
Matlock42 14 Feb, 2015 @ 3:40pm
Hey, I really like what you did with this reticle; It looks great! However, I prefer the Crosshair version (TA31-C), and was hoping you might be willing to make it. I tried making one myself, but it was crap. Either way good job on this one!

thanks for this!

Merry Christmas, those of you who want a black BDC: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=360453780

@GNGSTRpenguin This is very realistic, ACOG scopes use many different types of reticles.

it looks great but i would take out the red cross underneath the chevron to make it more realistic
:)

For what ever reason this reticule doesn't override the stock one. I'm currently using Mr. Brightside's AGOG model.

@iLag!!!!!

their website picture are wrong. the real scope doesn't have range graduation in red.

the only red part are the chevron and the top of elevation line :

this picture is from a real one TA31RCO-A4CP (USMC M16A4 acog model)

@KALASH NICOLE The ACOG's manufacturer disagrees.

the 4 (for 400m) isn't supposed to be illuminated, only the red chevron.

Could you please reskin the c79 scope to the acog? I don't like the way the elcan looks. BTW, nice sight. :)
Loun 27 Sep, 2014 @ 3:14pm
I've been using this and it's been awesome. Someone just made a mod where the 2x scope looks like the real acog. In addition it works with any reticle mod. Do you think you could make this here that works on the 2x version?
Oystercracker 14 Aug, 2014 @ 8:21pm
the triangle is not symetrical

@Dr. Death
This is just a reticule swap. It doesn't adjust the model or zoom.
Dr. Death 10 Aug, 2014 @ 12:10pm
i have JUST 2 questions.

1- Does this change the 3D model of the ELCAN?
2- Is this sight x4 zoom? or it just changes the reticule?

This is what i have been looking for
[SFW]TeASe 14 Jun, 2014 @ 10:03pm
Is there any way to make the reticle translucent?
Offline  [author] 13 Jun, 2014 @ 12:42pm
@Wu-Tang Killa Treez
There's a severe issue with recompiling models for editing, so altering the scope itself is not possible at this time, and a simple retexture of the current model will look beyond ugly.
J-Roc 13 Jun, 2014 @ 11:54am
loving it. Not sure if possible but could you retexture the scope so it (aesthetically) looks like an ACOG scope to go along with the reticle you made? that would be awesome
