Oj jesus i am sorry to hear that you got covid, if i knew wouldnt be bothering you... Suppose adding Xaela and Raen as seperate xenotypes would be best way to aproach it. Good luck, early recovery and god speed miss erin
Erin  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 1:34pm
@Pifilix.SVK
- By splitting them up I mean they might actually have to just be separate xenotypes, as their visuals are different from each other. The Au Ra are the main thing really holding me back from a Biotech version of the FFXIV races, but once I've recovered from Covid (I caught it yet again lol), I'll probably be taking a look at them.
Pifilix.SVK 28 Dec, 2024 @ 1:08pm
Oh apologies, did not know that aspect. Well i mean, could keep Raen and Xaela as their own xenotypes? Or how do you mean with splitting them up?
Erin  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 1:05pm
@Pifilix.SVK
- Mostly because Life happened, and I never decided how I wanted to split up the Raen and Xaela.
Pifilix.SVK 28 Dec, 2024 @ 1:01pm
Since you have xperience with Biotech...why not make a biotech conversion?
Erin  [author] 14 Jan, 2023 @ 4:20pm
it's built in to the ve one, if you dont use the ve one then shrug
NattyNuke 14 Jan, 2023 @ 3:03pm
Where can I find it :3
Erin  [author] 14 Jan, 2023 @ 5:03am
Yes
NattyNuke 13 Jan, 2023 @ 3:14pm
Is there a Facial animations support/patch for this mod?
Milky 3 Dec, 2022 @ 12:50pm
I'm so happy this exists ;-;
Hohen 9 Nov, 2022 @ 5:37pm
@LLoboOscuro Dragon people, more like pangolin people.
Sally smithson 30 Oct, 2022 @ 10:21pm
@LoboOscuro no worries i was merely joking.
It has happend in the lore that auri were massacred by ishgard because they thought they were related to dragons, the same dragons they were at war with
Erin  [author] 30 Oct, 2022 @ 3:53pm
@LoboOscuro - lmao you're fine, dude. Au Ra are humanoids despite their appearances :))
LoboOscuro 30 Oct, 2022 @ 3:42pm
first of all I had absolutely no idea what a 'Au Ra' was, I've never touched final fantasy in all my life. I only found this mod because I searched 'lizard' so you'd forgive my confusion about why dragon looking people are in fact...not dragon people. a quick google searched and I'm still not fully convinced XD but I know nothing of the final fantasy lore
Sally smithson 29 Oct, 2022 @ 12:08pm
wow, we have another ishgardian on our hands. Auri are not dragons, they are not related to dragons. merely convergient evolution.

...the wonders of modding
Erin  [author] 29 Oct, 2022 @ 4:20am
@LoboOscuro - Ew no, Au Ra don't lay eggs.
LoboOscuro 29 Oct, 2022 @ 4:10am
Vanilla Expanded Saurid's added the ability for pawns to lay eggs given the right gene, think that could go well with this?
袁銀-ゆん-Yun 22 Oct, 2022 @ 4:07pm
Oh sorry, I've just found the mod prior to 1.4 and checked back a couple times after but must have toned out the picture.
Erin  [author] 22 Oct, 2022 @ 3:32pm
There is literally a big picture at the top of the mod page saying 1.4 will be done when it's done.

And no, probably not.
袁銀-ゆん-Yun 22 Oct, 2022 @ 2:09pm
Hello, will you be slowly working to convert the this and the Miqo'te mod into 1.4 with genes/xenotypes? Also I remember reading that in lore, Au Ra tails and horns regrow if damaged or cut off, is there a chance for that trait to be implemented in some way?
Erin  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 9:13am
@m97x51 No Hugslib log, no help. Sorry.
m97x51 8 Oct, 2022 @ 9:12am
I got a bug with the male Au Ra repeatedly changing his style on the styling station, no clue what causes it
Erin  [author] 8 Sep, 2022 @ 1:18am
@MaJoDa - Yes when I eventually remember to do it, I'm just very forgetful because ADHD go brr.
MaJoDa 7 Sep, 2022 @ 8:49pm
So are you gonna add prosthetics in the future? Just asking.

Oh and I love the mod. Their design are unique from the other races and close to the vanilla which I really like. Thank you for the mod!
Erin  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 9:56am
@MaJoDa - I forgot to give them prosthetic tails, that's all
MaJoDa 7 Sep, 2022 @ 9:04am
Anyone knows how to get another tail? My current got his tail torned off. Thanks in advance!
natthegreat668 6 Aug, 2022 @ 3:30am
No extra bloat? Awesome.
Realm Imp 26 Jul, 2022 @ 5:52am
oh i probably missed that part. my apologies
Erin  [author] 26 Jul, 2022 @ 5:25am
@Realm Imp - It literally says it in the VE Facial Animations page. Yes, they have a patch.
Realm Imp 26 Jul, 2022 @ 3:03am
anyone knows if this one have facial animation patch?
Inglix 18 Jun, 2022 @ 4:37am
@Erin: I wouldn't worry about it. I certainly don't think you did anything wrong. This is an edge care that won't affect the majority of people that use your mod, and now there's a patch for those who need it.
Erin  [author] 18 Jun, 2022 @ 2:49am
Oh, okay. I mean, it never was my intention to have the Au Ra tribes have different labels; it's the same race, after all, just different colours scales.

I'm sorry it caused issues! It wasn't my aim to cause an issue with a mod like this.
Inglix 17 Jun, 2022 @ 9:41pm
@ModZero: Since I was bored I created a patch for this mod that will give each of the Au Ra varieties unique labels to avoid Variety Matters throwing an exception when you open its mod settings screen.

https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2822468790
Inglix 17 Jun, 2022 @ 8:41pm
The compatibility issue with Variety Matters doesn't actually have anything to do with the meat, but with the fact that there are essentially two races with the same label. The mod settings screen for Variety Matters provides options to enable/disable the variety need for each race individually. To display the list of races for this, it tries to build a dictionary of the labels for every race, and when it comes across the second variant of the Au Ra, it tries to add a second entry with "Au Ra" as the key, which then throws an exception and breaks the mod setting screen.

Short layman's term version: The only way Erin could "fix" this is to give each Au Ra tribe unique labels, which goes against her intention of having both "races" only differ in appearance.

It'd be simple for someone to create a patch for, or even just edit their own local copy of the XML file to add the individual labels.
Erin  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 12:58pm
@ModZero - They should both drop the same kind of meat, or at least the XML is set up that way. I honestly can't help you, as they should be exactly the same apart from the different coloured scales.
ModZero 9 Jun, 2022 @ 12:48pm
Could they be set up to drop the same kind of meat? The Variety Matters issue is a problem with that mod anyway.
Erin  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 11:11am
Having it set up that way is the only way I could really do it to keep the two tribes as Au Ra, with each one having the different scales.

I'm not sure if I could actually fix the issue if I want to keep the Au Ra as they are.
ModZero 9 Jun, 2022 @ 10:13am
So having two defs that results in a thing named "Au Ra" upsets Variety Matters' settings window. It's also a bit messy when looking through food ingredients and such - not that I'm likely to allow one and disallow another, but it's impossible to tell which meat is which.

Overall a minor issue though.I didn't save the log when VM crashed, but if you want I can replicate that again.
Erin  [author] 7 Jun, 2022 @ 2:10am
@hopeandjoy9 - Eventually, yes. :) My irl is busy right now trying to buy my first house, lol
hopeandjoy9 6 Jun, 2022 @ 8:29pm
slides into your dms.

any chance of viera?
Erin  [author] 19 Apr, 2022 @ 6:10am
@Lickyn - Yeah I'll be able to do that at some point, but sadly not right now due to IRL stuff.
Lickyn 19 Apr, 2022 @ 5:28am
Hello, thanks for this mod, I love it! Sadly one of my Au Ra got his tail cut off, and the biosculpter doesn't work on the tail, I haven't tried the shaman or the healer serum, would it be possible to make it compatible?
Erin  [author] 10 Apr, 2022 @ 10:24am
@Ron900123 - Probably not? Rimworld pawns already look like potatoes. Lalafell wouldn't look different enough tbh.
Ron900123 10 Apr, 2022 @ 8:59am
Is there any plans to make a Lalafell race mod?
hell owl 29 Mar, 2022 @ 7:50am
Is there a way that you can make them part of the starter colony
Erin  [author] 27 Mar, 2022 @ 1:56am
I.. don't know what could be causing that. But once you get a log, I'll take a look. It must be some mod incompatibility, as the au ra in my colony have no issues changing styles and stuff.
FlyBrokenWings 27 Mar, 2022 @ 1:30am
I'll see if I can get a log next time I have an Au'Ra in my colony. Though to add onto what I said earlier, what I noticed was that they could not change their style. When I tried doing it manually, the game crashed.
Erin  [author] 25 Mar, 2022 @ 3:11pm
Got a hugslib log? :) I can't help without one, and the Au Ra don't do that for me.
FlyBrokenWings 25 Mar, 2022 @ 3:03pm
Mod seems to glitch with the styling station. Au'ra end up doing an endless loop when getting the look change desire.
