They aren't just made by the same company, I'm pretty sure MT Framework was based off whatever older engine MH ran on.
The main issue with the Akrid is the same as the monsters from Monster Hunter: They have weird bind poses and are not scaled correctly. The scale thing is particularly annoying.
interesting, i have the feeling that if you decided to port the VS's, the pack will have two of each of the VS weapons that are mirrored do to the VS's that are able to have two of them.
though it is funny how the textures look a higher quality in the games then they actually are, probably do to it being in the third person.
