Because only your hands and head are tracked, so if you're crouched even slightly then grabbing ammo from your belt becomes non-intuitive. The next step is for full body tracking so the game will know where your body is at all times and weapon/ammo/item grabs will be consistent. Valve made the right move with the shoulder grab, but I agree it can be annoying. Other games are far more annoying with their inconsistent belt grabs which breaks immersion badly.

Just gave myself a back ache trying to reach for this imaginary backpack that doesnt exist to do something as simple as reload. Why is everything in 2024 complete garbage?

Hate to ask because I’m sure it’s something easy I’m missing. But I’m unable to leave any of the spawn points. My only option is to load in and defend a very small circle while waves kill me. The online vids, my brothers play experience and people’s comments here clearly indicate that the mod allows you to explore the whole building… what do I need to fix to get out of the circle on the ground or not have a arms length boundary to my play area.

How the fck you made better VR shooter solo than 99% of VR developers ? Like kings of high budget vr slop vertigo games ?

Somehow I can only play last stand mode stationary in 3 areas and when i want to go back to the range the game crashes

This is honestly the most fun I've had gaming in years. I feel like such a badass blasting bad guys. Rekindled my love and hope the future of VR. If you own Half-Life: Alyx, this is simply a must try.
There are bugs and it's lacking in some departments, but an overall amazing experience.

What up with the enemy gunfire audio? It sounds like someone put a zune player in a tin can and then recorded that home alone scene with the gun going off. Like dude… everything else is perfect how was this overlooked?

@GODSPEED I've seen people complain about this, but not sure what the cause is. Make sure you aren't running other addons except for Chapter 1 and see if it works then.

if I hide the weapon(pistol) I can't get it back?

@VaderYoda007 Follow my instruction video listed in the description above. You are probably running too many addons at once. Be sure not to have both chapters enabled at the same time, either.

Why doesn't joystick movement work, it will only let me use the teleport movement. I tried restarted but still wont let me. Its very hard to move around with just teleport. i tried changing the options but still cant use the stick for movement.

is there a reason its not downloading automatically i cant find it in my work shop items

I love this mode. Gunfires make a lot of fun. Level design is very interesting and after first two chapters I would like to see more. I remember when my first impression when I saw myself on the street in chapter one. I thought man what a amazing mood. I would like to see Ravenholm in this style it would be amazing. I've been thinking about another chapters what could it be. Maybe old wearhouses where your job is to thwart a drug deal or maybe you need to take over hijaked train like in liberator 2 :-)
I hope that the project has not been abandoned and new levels will appear soon.

Absolutely loved this, but one thing that irritated me was the girl hostage, her AI is too primitive, she blocked my path many times and it caused me to die a lot of times.

did not disappoint! Despite the good reviews I was kinda meh about it but it is actually a good experience

this mod was AMAZING when i played it for the first time, and now hearing that the creator of these 2 mods is making a full blown VR game just like these is insane. Hope the VR game is just as amazing as these mods.

@Swanny You entered the door on the right but you need to enter the door on the left that displays the difficulty levels. As for the crashing, verify game files, make sure you don't have both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 active at the same time, and also make sure you have no other addons active that you don't absolutely need.

Could use some assistance. I only have the option for 3 locations, and I'm unable to move out of the circle. How do I actually proceed with the campaign or contracts? I'm also having a bug that when I click the range it just exits the game.
