@vortex, there are no real details shared, of why he choose to retire from Stormworks, other than his free will. He also got a job in engineering, and that's most likely why he left, no more time & other responsibilities. The rest, are rumors.

For everyone wondering: The drone has a maximum distance of 15 km until the signal cuts out. For reference: This is about 90% the diameter of the main island.

The addon works perfectly and the drone is pretty stealthy

Yes that was the plan, you can use the station on a ship or sub etc, or even create your own station and still control the drone :)

nvm i got it if u need help here is the channel controls pivot ch 1, pitch ch 2, zoom ch 4, IR mode, ch 3, laser ch 4 (yes i know its the same as zoom but it works), gimbal lock ch 1 (same deal as laser and zoom same channel still works), gimbal stabilize ch 2. (if some channels are the same i know that they still work for me if does not work for you im at a loss maybe the author of this can help you or his YT vid he made this is for my custom station i made it may not work for you) p.s you may have to invert the pivot, to do this when u build ur micro controller before you connect it to the composite write get a x function and click on it and type -x then it is done and every thing should work again u may not have to do this or maybe i got something wrong im not trying to say i know all about this the author can help you i jsut found this out and wanted to share if you were stuck
