It is really strange that key binding from options doesn’t work for you. Might be something with createmove hook. For now you could bind it manually through console with the following command: bind key thirdperson_enhanced_toggle. Replace the “key” with the key you desire. I personally use “b”

Are there any known incompatibilities or something? I'm trying to use the thirdperson but it keeps toggling back to firstperson after a split-second.

Another thing to note is that without the addon, I could seemingly already switch between firstperson and thirdperson for some reason. I unbound it to use enhanced thirdperson instead. Now neither really work.

I can enter thirdperson through the console commands, just not the enhanced thirdperson or something? But then I can't go back to firstperson.

Yeah, freelook key only locks movement direction, but not look direction. With it you could walk in a straight line and look(and thus shoot) wherever you want.

If everything else is working then it is not a conflict. Make sure that you bound the freelook key correctly. When you hold it, your movement direction should lock, so if you look around and keep pressing W, you should move into the same direction.

It has this feature, every fov change is reflected, so if a weapon changes fov then thirdperson view changes fov too, but unfortunately most popular weapon packs dont change fov if it detects a thirdperson view. Some chinese guy made a fork of this addon that just zooms on right click, search for “enhanced thirdperson”

Pushed an update fixing this issue. If you get it randomly, check thirdperson settings, maybe you've set up freelook bind to an undesired key which you accidentally press sometimes, which causes this error. Error will be gone, but an unwanted bind is also bad, so be advised. Thanks for the report!

It happens once when I use a TFA Base weapon. I think it just has something to do with how the weapon has some camera effects or something that causes the error.
