If you compress the original uncompressed textures, the difference in quality should be negligible. If the original isn't as sharp, AI upscale them then compress again.

By the way, file size is important. If you can't make it as small as reliably possible, you're gonna make people crash eventually due to 32-bit limitations.

I compressed all of the normal map files from BGRA8888 to DXT5. Hopefully you're all happy with the more diminished and pixelated material looks.
