Balanced Soil

Just wanted to say this is a really good take on adding cultured soil.

- No extreme growth amounts that invalidates all other soil (or even hydroponics)
- Actually requires a research to use
- Requires resources to make
- Is still just dirt for all other purposes (including wealth)
- Gives a reason to still value rich soil
- Doesn't add a ton of crap like fertilizer, dirt objects, recipes etc to the game

It might be a bit strong in an extreme desert, ice sheet, or sea ice, but wood is already exceedingly rare in those places. Either way, well done on balancing it.

Hey will there be any settings to change the cost?
Josh Mate  [author] 2 Jan, 2023 @ 8:31am
@yoemso yes it's a floor tile.
yoemso 1 Jan, 2023 @ 4:23pm
is it can be placed?
Nolan 30 Nov, 2022 @ 5:37pm
OK, thanks. I wish it worked with the planting skill somehow. Oh well.

ah oops I meant more fertile than fertile soil*
Josh Mate  [author] 18 Aug, 2021 @ 12:40pm
@The Blind One

Umm, it is already?
The Blind One 18 Aug, 2021 @ 12:07pm
Maybe you should make it cost 5 wood and be more fertile than regular soil?

Using wood to get farms gives me strong Age of Empires vibes lmao.
Josh Mate  [author] 18 Aug, 2021 @ 10:43am
@The Blind One

it's meant to look like freshly dug and watered soil.
But yes I do see what you mean.
The Blind One 18 Aug, 2021 @ 4:29am
Only thing odd about this is that the garden soil looks more fertile than the fertile soil lol
PremierVader 14 Aug, 2021 @ 5:13pm
Also for a little more balance I suggest changing the cost from 2 Wood to 5 Wood. Great mod!
PremierVader 14 Aug, 2021 @ 5:11pm
I like it I needed this so much!
Josh Mate  [author] 14 Aug, 2021 @ 12:21pm
Update:

- Removed the 1 Chemfuel cost per tile
- Made the "Work to Build" higher to compensate (Now the same as Stone Tiles)
Eggnog 13 Aug, 2021 @ 12:10pm
awesome!
Josh Mate  [author] 13 Aug, 2021 @ 12:56am
The Wealth of the tiles has been kept to a minimum, Due to not getting any resources back from deconstructing the tiles, you won't gain any wealth.
Eggnog 12 Aug, 2021 @ 7:03pm
i remember similar mods having the problem of inflating your wealth when placing the soil, does this mod have that problem as well?
