Throttle is throttle, you need to add fuel manifold throttle which without supercharge can just be half of the air throttle.

Does it work with modular engines?

you should add idle rps

Awesome. Just what i was needing. Thanks heaps!

works fine 4 me, thank u

No it doesn't, just an RPS limiter like the name says, not an ECU. To idle engine you could just switchbox to a PID with P of 0.3.
buder28 27 Jun, 2023 @ 2:16pm
that mcu dosent have any kind of idling controll last time i tested
you will need to figure that out
Ninovium 27 Jun, 2023 @ 1:39pm
btw if you connect an actual throttle to the controller, then the engine just goes to 1 rps and dies. If you connect to W/S, it revs the engine to the max until it explodes. (it also implodes your ear drums)

I have the same problem as the guy below, could you show us how to actually connect it? (to help idiots like myself)
BasicallyIPlayGames 8 Jun, 2023 @ 8:47pm
Other than its set up with W/S but I'd imagine it should still work set up like that still.
BasicallyIPlayGames 8 Jun, 2023 @ 8:44pm
Doesn't seem to work, I have everything set up accordingly.

cool, and very helpful

just saying i added this to a ecu from another guy and other tid bit to make it my own i did put credit thanks for your work
i mainly use it for stuff and on demand like when controlling a tank with WASD and want it to idle once doing nothing xD

That is what controllers on the workshop are for, to be used by others in their creations, best with credits if uploaded.
Fireside 2 Feb, 2023 @ 7:49am
Is it alright if I use this controller in one of my creations?
BasicallyIPlayGames 22 Jan, 2023 @ 10:10am
Whats the hardness factor do btw?
BasicallyIPlayGames 22 Jan, 2023 @ 9:52am
Thanks, I appreciate it.

This controller does not calculate you the factor for fuel manifold throttle, if you do not supercharge you can just run the output into a x/2 function for fuel throttle.
BasicallyIPlayGames 21 Jan, 2023 @ 4:33pm
I basically input the throttle into the controller then took the controller throttle output and put it into the fuel throttle, then took the throttles ouput itself and put it into the air throttle.
BasicallyIPlayGames 21 Jan, 2023 @ 2:37pm
How do I make sure the fuel throttles calculated properly? I'm not exactly good with that stuff in micro controllers.
Phil  [author] 21 Jan, 2023 @ 1:34am
The logic nodes should be pretty self explanatory, for modular engines make sure that the fuel manifold throttle gets calculated after passing through this controller.
BasicallyIPlayGames 20 Jan, 2023 @ 9:22pm
@Phil can you give a tutorial on how to set this up for a modular engine, I tried and it wouldn't work.
BasicallyIPlayGames 20 Jan, 2023 @ 8:52pm
@ApocTheWanderer Do you have any advice on how you set yours up, currently working on an engine set up with an electric pump as a supercharger.
ApocTheWanderer 18 Sep, 2021 @ 6:42am
I did get this working with Electric superchargers and it worked GREAT.
Phil  [author] 18 Sep, 2021 @ 1:07am
You can plot the bottom part of the function in a 2D graph and see if it can be aranged for your needs.
Retroficient 17 Sep, 2021 @ 10:42pm
Is there a way to modify how much it drops per cut? I'm trying to make a rather quick rev limiter, but the turnaround on this one is rather slow.

Would increasing the manual hardness factor help with turnaround time?
Phil  [author] 14 Jul, 2021 @ 6:12am
I do not know, you can easily try it out, should take like one minute to connect it and see if it works.
ApocTheWanderer 13 Jul, 2021 @ 3:44pm
Ok can this also work with electric superchargers though?
Phil  [author] 13 Jul, 2021 @ 4:10am
Yes, as can be heard in the video.
This is for the main throttle you then need to split into air and fuel manifold values.
ApocTheWanderer 12 Jul, 2021 @ 9:03pm
Does this also work with modular engines?
