Currently having an issue where i am able to cure vassals, but not myself or my courtiers. Any idea what might be wrong? I have an Excellent Physician with the physician trait, I simply do no see the option. Thanks

"The change that allows you to cure prisoners and vassals is now implemented here as well."
Woohoo party like the 70s ;)
Murden  [author] 15 May, 2023 @ 9:18am
@Kollo, yes! you're right. That was the issue. It's fixed now.

@M, thanks for the reminder! The change that allows you to cure prisoners and vassals is now implemented here as well.
Kollo 15 May, 2023 @ 4:36am
Hi!
I've hired myself a court physician with the 2-star renowned court physician trait, but the option to cure lover's pox is greyed out for me, with the error exclamation mark saying "Court Physician with at least Novice Physician trait required" (I also tried with just a novice physician).
To hazard a guess, it might be the changes made to the physician trait by Tours and Tournaments that breaks the mod, as novice physician and renowned physician are now under the same trait, as they're leveled like the new martial/Hastiluder/hunting traits. I don't know.

@CaliBlueBear; looking at the main mod (Useful Court Physicians), the only difference is a swapped around line and that this can't target vassals or prisoners… if you want that behavior, go to

...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2464663984\common\character_interactions\ucp-interact-cure-lovers-pox.txt

and change lines 41-43 from

scope:recipient = {
is_courtier_of = scope:actor
}

to

scope:recipient = {
OR = {
is_courtier_of = scope:actor
is_imprisoned_by = scope:actor
is_vassal_or_below_of = scope:actor
}
}

Update for 1.8.x? Plz :)

without eliminating the disease,
I think it would be good to give "Inactivated Lover's Pox" trait

The reason why many people hate "Lover's Pox" is that characters get ugly.
Therefore, "Inactivated Lover's Pox" does not change the appearance of the character.

"Inactivated Lover's Pox" are not contagious or very low, and they can be hereditary.
When "Inactivated Lover's Pox" trait is transmitted/inherited, it becomes "Lover's Pox"

and when health deteriorates in the state of "Inactivated Lover's Pox", it can develop into "Lover's Pox".

this way is close to reality.

hahahaha dude you're mean! :D

upvoted I like this mod because I like starting covens which cause rampant aids

Hmmm hard bargain you just got a new award.

1800 subscribers, 70 thumbs up, I mean really, it costs nothing to show appreciation for the mods you use :(
WolvesofZiu 8 Dec, 2022 @ 7:07am
You got your thumbs up now update sir!
Murden  [author] 7 Dec, 2022 @ 8:58pm
it should still work though.
Murden  [author] 7 Dec, 2022 @ 8:58pm
honestly, I won't bother updating mods where people doesn't even bother to thumbs up.
WolvesofZiu 7 Dec, 2022 @ 12:50pm
Will this be updated?
Chief Sitting Bear 21 Oct, 2022 @ 9:18am
I added you.
Murden  [author] 20 Oct, 2022 @ 8:46pm
I'm pretty sure it's possible, but this is not really something I would like to do. If you get into modding to the point where you are able to make a basic mod, I can tell you how to do it.
Chief Sitting Bear 20 Oct, 2022 @ 7:08pm
Hello, I use this mod in all of my games and I'm greatly appreciative. With that being said would it be possible to make a mod that completely removes lover's pox from the game? I tend to make very large witch covens and it spreads through my dynasty like wildfire late game, even with myself curing as many people as possible.

Thanks either way, this definitely helps with my heirs at a minimum.

the easiest way would be to create a new discussion in the "popular discussions" section above
gazette2 25 Jul, 2022 @ 8:45pm
how can i send you translation file(s)
Murden  [author] 22 May, 2022 @ 10:57am
no, it doesn't.
MattySwizz 21 May, 2022 @ 6:51pm
Does the AI use this?
Sonny Crocket 12 Apr, 2022 @ 7:49pm
Well the thing with the real so called lover's pox is that it's not like its a permanent condition,people get outbreaks, but in the game that is not portrayed.
FunGaming44 28 Feb, 2022 @ 2:30am
Needs an update to 1.5.0.2 but im sure you are aware, it works without issues though only the game version nr needs a change
Murden  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 10:34am
okay this change is now live
Murden  [author] 29 Nov, 2021 @ 3:59pm
oh that's lame and makes no sense at all, I will see if I can get the debuff removed upon lover's pox getting cured, as long neither spouse has the pox any longer.
jedi_master_edward_ala 29 Nov, 2021 @ 3:30pm
If it doesn't do it automatically, it probably doesn't do it at all then. If you remove Lover's Pox using the Console commands, it does NOT remove the modifier. Honestly, Lover's Pox isn't that bad. A slight dread loss and an attraction penalty. The problem is, as mentioned above, is the "Rejected From Marriage Bed" modifier. It applies to the character who has it globally, not the single character who gave it. Meaning if you get that debuff, forget about having children with that character.
Murden  [author] 28 Nov, 2021 @ 5:51pm
that's a good question, Jedi, I don't really know. The mod does not directly remove the effect, but it's possible that it gets removed automatically once the pox is cured.
jedi_master_edward_ala 28 Nov, 2021 @ 3:40pm
Does it also remove the accursed "Rejected from Marriage Bed" modifier?
WolvesofZiu 13 Nov, 2021 @ 1:30pm
Got it I will try that.
Murden  [author] 13 Nov, 2021 @ 1:25pm
When they get cured, they have a period of immunity, but eventually that immunity fades. Maybe one thing you can do is make it so that. only people who doesn't have lover's pox marry each other and when you attempt to cure them, cure spouses at the same time. You can make adultery forbidden. There are a few ways you can mitigate the problem, but it will probably take generations until you get rid of the problem.
WolvesofZiu 13 Nov, 2021 @ 1:16pm
Anyway you can make it once the lover pox is cured they cannot contract the disease again? I am spending more time curing than actually playing the game lol.
Murden  [author] 13 Sep, 2021 @ 11:11am
oh, thanks for letting me know, I will have a look...
leventserdar 13 Sep, 2021 @ 5:28am
Thanks for the mod. It's good to know that there is at least an option.
By the way, both treatment options cost the same in my game.
WolvesofZiu 25 May, 2021 @ 9:16pm
Thanks for the offer but the problem has become so bad I just removed the inherited part of the trait.
Murden  [author] 25 May, 2021 @ 10:11am
do you want to send me your savegame so I can have a look?
WolvesofZiu 24 May, 2021 @ 4:51pm
For males it shows it to be cureable and cures it. For females it does not show up at all.
Murden  [author] 24 May, 2021 @ 4:49pm
Hi Werwolf, no, it doesn't change anything related to ruler genetics. This mod is very "stackable" and I can hardly think of anything that could be causing compatibility issues. When you right-click on someone with lover's pox, do you see the option to cure it at all? Is the problem that the option is not showing or it's not being cured?
WolvesofZiu 24 May, 2021 @ 4:36pm
Does this mod change anything with ruler genetics? I have a lot of mods and some I cant turn off without destroying my save game.
WolvesofZiu 24 May, 2021 @ 4:30pm
Yes, I have other mods that might be interfering. I will try and turn some on and off and see if I can get it to work.
Murden  [author] 24 May, 2021 @ 3:21pm
Hi Werwolf, both men and women should be curable. The mod makes no gender distinction. Are you having trouble using the option on women?
WolvesofZiu 24 May, 2021 @ 2:53pm
Great Mod! I was wondering if you could also make it possible to cure women with this disease?
