@avemetal I am 100% certain that I don't, however I have found the cause of the issue.

The monument of leonidas adds 1 unit of Gerontes to the garrison of the town.
Thus if the unit cap is 1, then well.. that explains the issue. Because the garrison is using up the singular unit you are allowed to use. At least that's my assumption.

@ Gary the Metro: that unit has a cap of 1, are you sure you don't have one already as general for example?

@ Marcus Furius Camillus: With the Para Bellum Campaign or my mod Armies, recruitment & garrisons you can expand the rosters. And later I'll release a historical units mod with more units for each faction.

@ Gorrekksonn: the 3 units parts are required so the mod can work properly.

@ Warriordude: I already updated this mod with the new shields and reskins from Magna Germania, but still Magna Germania includes a few extra units that I plan to add.

Hi, I have unlocked the "gerontes" for sparta and created the monument of leonidas. But the game is telling me that the maximum number of units has already been recruited, despite the fact that I haven't recruited a single gerontes unit yet. What am I doing wrong here?

I researched all of the technology and playing as Persia I still get the few "vanilla" units, I mean the ones at the start of the campaing, is the Persian roster so limited?

@AveMetal can you add the Magna Germania mod Germanic unit skins to your units in Para Bellum?

The Germanic Shields look a lot better in the Magna Geramania mod.

I think it should not be so often and I don't have previous comments about this issue, try a clean mods installation to be sure that it is not a mods conflict:

Why are the pestilence events so common? Even with positive sanitation I get plagues every 5 turns, way too frequent and gamebreaking!

Idk, you´ll have to test to know for sure but is not very likely to work with other overhauls apart than Para Bellum, for which it is designed and I recommend:

Para Bellum Combat increases the size of several units. Also you can make bigger armies by following this video instructions:

@ tone1492: I didn´t know that issue, I´ll check.

@ {GbZ} Erhinardt: I know the historical size of the units but I search also the balance with the performance, gameplay, and aesthetics as with this size the units looks more like a square. In any case is easy to change the units size in the main units tables, opening the mod with a freeware program like Pack File Manager.

Wow had no idea Unit III was available! Maybe this will fix Nabataean Swordsman not having a unit key for the population mod.

Well forgot Pike unit was 240 guys. I did a couple campaigns on Parabellum at its begining.
Nice mod and great work btw mate.

But if i may say, i like in Divide et Impera mod that Pike units are 256 soldiers, wich was the historical size of a sarissa unit in Macedonian armies. And in general infantry units are 200 guys (wich is somehow accurate to a Roman Manipule) and cavalry units of 100 guys, excet general unit wich is doubled with 200 guys.
I think it give a bit more massive and intersting battle without needing to use 1.5x or 2x unit size mods.
And using 30 units or 40 untis army can be a way to make battles more massive yeah, but it greatly unbalance siege battles as garison army are not increase.

No critics, just some comments.

Is there any compatible mod or plan to increase a bit units size ?
I like to play hellenics factions and it tears my heart appart to have only 180 lads in a pike unit.
