Just use Transfer Manager CE. It includes this feature as well as extending this behavior to Garbage and Police AI, among many other things with goofs tranfering/requesting

Out of curiosity, does this mod make it so the firefighters can put out tree fires or do I still need an expensive helicopter for that? lol

So for those who have that problem of the AI thing. Pick between using Transfer Manager CE or this mod. As the former also makes firefighters do the same things as this mod.

I report the same things reported by Fénix Breeze. My client says the AI of Transfer Manager CE and the AI of this mod conflict.

is it possible for you to make a mod that prevents buildings from burning down, hence prolongs the burning itself by an immense factor? The fast burning down is rather unrealistic :D

I don't know if it's the mod or something else. But I've had a ton of fires in my city and the trucks never show up. The choppers do a fine job, but buildings burn to the ground without a single truck ever arriving.

I found the solution myself I just increased the acceleration and speed limit for the helicopter up to 260 k an hr with advanced vehicle options and also with the lowering bucket process. Now i don't have to keep playing god and using the rain to extinguish the fires.Anyway I've had enough of this game now because skylines have still failed to increase their stupid game limits mainly the net nodes and segments so no more roads can be built on 81 tiles wtf stupid skylines no wonder they only promote games by starting a new game always never showing us a game with 81 tiles oh no they wouldn't bloody dare! Total game killer that sim city 4 made in 2003 never had!

@Darkangel Regarding your bug report, could you post a list of the mods you currently use to the bug reports thread above? This mod doesn't modify any files used to render graphics in any way so I'm surprised to hear about such an issue. However, it does use Harmony, so it is possible (but unlikely) that the bug is being cause by an interaction with Harmony if this is your only Harmony mod. For the test you performed, you only uninstalled/installed this mod and kept all other mods unchanged, right? If not, I think it's more likely that some other mod may have caused the graphical glitch you observed.

@Darkangel you're correct; if you have fire spread disabled, this mod won't do much of anything for your game. It doesn't change the number of fire trucks/helicopters that get assigned to a fire (which is still dictated by the vanilla AI in this mod). I wholeheartedly agree on the helicopter bucket process being painfully slow, by the way!

Fires spreading can actually be a fun mechanic but it is ruined in the base game by the fire truck/copter AI, which was never updated by the developers when fire spread was introduced/strengthened in the Natural Disasters DLC. This mod simply does the AI modification that probably should have been done by the developers when the DLC was released. Turning off fire spreading isn't a solution for those of us who enjoy fighting spreading fires in our games. However, everyone enjoys their game differently so if you don't like to have fire spreading turned on, I wouldn't recommend this mod.

Loaded it for the second time and its this mod that is causing my blue roads and buildings to disappear. Probably interfering with my no fire spreading setting or something with AI in traffic manager AI or industries Rebalancer. have to uninstall now!

Id imagine if you had stop firefires spreading in the settings section already then this mod is completely useless because it only works on fires spreading to other buildings but it doesn't assign more than one fire helicopter to work on one building only? One building is enough headache for me anyway as a fire helipad only sends out one out of 4 helicopters so when the damn thing is taking 2hrs to dip its bucket in the water another helicopter could have been sloshing out the fire with its filled bucket! Why don't you make something like that ie just fixing at least one building on first first before you worry about forest fires and fires spreading which can be fixed in settings anyway!

Bro please do one with snow plowers. I made a Snowfall city and the most annoying thing was that the plowers only travelled on main roads that are completely fine while it wasn't even snowing, when side roads next to them were completely covered in snow, yet there isn't ANYTHING to fix snow plow AI. please for the love of god before I go insane

Harmony mod has just been updated. The new version contains a renamed Harmony assembly.
It is backwards compatible with all mods that currently depend on this mod.

Mod authors are urged to update their mods to the latest CitiesHarmony.API package: https://github.com/boformer/CitiesHarmony/wiki/CitiesHarmony.API-1.x-to-2.x-update-guide

Once all mods are updated, the load order issues and incompatibilities with mods like NExt should go away.

lol no, I don't want ambulances to pick up other people too, it's a known bug in this game. Only the newest hospital spawns ambulances, old ones don't do anything. I was wondering if you could do something about that, like dispatching an ambulance from the nearest health facility.

@perkele #1up This mod does work even if stations have spare trucks remaining. However, it only modifies the AI of trucks that have already been dispatched from the station. In addition, this mod never redirects fire trucks that are on the way to a fire; it only redirects fire trucks that are waiting for a target or returning to the station. This was done for a number of reasons (e.g. ensure trucks wouldn't get stuck in a giant line where the lead fire truck stops at every fire on a route, backing up all other trucks). If you're looking for a mod that makes smarter dispatch assignments, check out enhanced district services or more effective transfer manager.

@ApollonDriver Unfortunately ambulances are a bit of a different story since they need to pick up a patient and deliver them back to a hospital so my AI strategy won't work for those. Fire trucks are a bit of a special case among emergency vehicles since they don't need to pick up anything and return it to a source building. You could take a look at enhanced district services or more effective transfer manager for better route selection for your ambulances. If ambulances simply aren't spawning, that seems like a bug that might be caused by a mod.

The mod is enabled, still far from even doing nothing. If a firefighters truck is already on its way to the fire, doesn't matter that another firefighters truck is just next to the fire. This mod only works when the fire station runs out of trucks.

hey! great mod! Can you work on ambulances too? My hospitals don't really work except only one of them, which is kinda annoying.
