@ROB_OZ It wouldnt make sense for IO to suddenly give issues, as it hasnt updated in almost 2 months now.. Its possible that one of your other mods updated and is overwriting the food scripting now, although usually when that happens you see a 0 on the food bar, not nothing at all
ROB_OZ 19 Nov @ 11:37pm
I have a question. I reset my server after the installation of IO. I love the new functionality and complexity. But after a certain period of time running the server (approx. 2 weeks) the hunger bar and radioation vanished. Did anyone experience the same issue? I tried everything I can do by myself besides resetting again ;-) I ran all the mods before besides IO so this might cause an issue. Anyone does have the same issue or any idea how to fix it?

@Piesolesy the standard nuclear reactor outputs roughly 500MW worth of steam so I'm not sure where you're getting 4.6MW from

@Cyber Yes, use the ore subtypes from the VoxelMaterials.sbc files
Cyber 16 Nov @ 7:15am
Is it possible to add ore generation to custom planets?
Piesolesy 15 Nov @ 2:17pm
is it intentional that one uranium fuel rod gives 4.63MW in standard reactor when it gives 5.07MW in dlc/vanilla while being also a lot less space expensive? 6,94MW for RTG is reasonable since you need 500 of them to replicate standard reactor
Zorelnam 15 Nov @ 11:41am
You are right... i didn't realize scrolling would do anything, thank you
Space Ace 15 Nov @ 11:18am
@Zorelnam they are there if you scroll. The issue is fixed in 1.7.5 anyways. Same happens with merge blocks & pistons
Zorelnam 15 Nov @ 8:31am
Lithium and Alkaline batteries are bugged and cannot be placed, when you try to place them you get an acid battery instead.
K.Hunter 5 Nov @ 5:21am
@Space Ace about the rocket thrusters, yeah I opened that ticket and it's a shame mods like IO don't mention this problem on their mod page because it definitely needs more attention and upvotes for Keen to care to fix it.
cybyrd5 4 Nov @ 9:25pm
sorry if this has been asked before is there a way to make this a EOS friendly mod?
Space Ace 3 Nov @ 8:54am
@CptConnor Were you using Seams Fixed? The vanilla maps actually have lots of those errors, and IO simply uses those vanilla maps. You can use the IO version of Seams Fixed to clear it all up, just be sure to load it above IO or it won't overwrite it's generation
CptConnor 3 Nov @ 7:22am
After starting a fresh save at the same locations before installing IO, a large ice lake has disappeared. Is there any commands or settings that need changing which I've not done or seen?
Mace 30 Oct @ 1:40pm
Thank you, guess I'll try just this for now
Space Ace 30 Oct @ 1:19pm
@Mace You will need a version of the custom planet designed specifically for IO. This mod only affects vanilla planets by-default
Mace 30 Oct @ 12:43pm
Do the ore changes work with custom planets? Was thinking of trying this + real solar systems
bladewar 20 Oct @ 10:59am
@Space Ace Thanks, I was going crazy... I didn't know this. At least I know the problem.
Space Ace 20 Oct @ 10:51am
bladewar 20 Oct @ 8:31am
I'm playing Ares at War and Weapon Core.
bladewar 20 Oct @ 8:29am
Something strange is happening to me with the "rocket fuel" boosters. When I install them, everything works correctly, and the boosters consume fuel. However, once I save the game and reload, everything works, but there is no fuel consumption.
The boosters indicate that they consume 15 liters, but the accumulated fuel amount does not decrease.
I can fly infinitely. In the same ship with combined hydrogen, the hydrogen consumes normally.
I have no idea why this happens... If I dismantle the tanks and engines and reassemble them, everything works, but the same thing happens again afterward.
PepperJack 15 Oct @ 1:24pm
Yes, but production does change so old factories might not be as useful.
Venomspawn 15 Oct @ 8:48am
Can this be added to existing servers?
PepperJack 8 Oct @ 10:51am
There is a workbench you need to use prior to the basic assembler. Large or small. There is a production tab that you should be able to find all the custom production blocks
Riot Dawn 8 Oct @ 10:46am
Hi, not sure how to even really get started on this. The basic assembler requires displays, which the survival kit can't make. The machine that makes displays requires aluminum plates that the survival kit can't make. The machine that makes aluminum plates requires tubes the survival kit can't make. The extruder that makes tubes requires...well, tubes.
Ark 4 Oct @ 1:29am
I have issues with the game crashing when I put the hydrogen engine in my hotbar. I do have oxygen on, and a couple of other mods.
Space Ace 30 Sep @ 11:41am
@BisonBiter Not entirely. This will be addressed in 1.7.5
BisonBiter 29 Sep @ 8:44am
Was it intentional that the recent heavy armor changes now have small heavy armor blocks at 1200 hp? That's more that 2x the base game hp, and 12x the hp of IO (and base game) light armor. Seems like a huge hp difference for the weight/cost difference
Space Ace 28 Sep @ 1:03pm
Hydrogen consumption has not been changed. Its likely due to another mod
Hydrazine 28 Sep @ 12:56pm
Out of nowhere all thrusters (and maybe also engines, didn't get around to testing that yet) had their hydrogen consumption upped by **10x**. Is that intentional? :o because it makes flying Hydro-dependent basically impossible :/
Dr. Boomtastic 27 Sep @ 2:20pm
Thank you for the reply
Yes on the block menu everything is normal but when placed into the world / game its different.
Definately could be something Im doing wrong but did not notice it before

AWESOME mod bytheway
Space Ace 27 Sep @ 11:38am
@Dr. Boomtastic Those weren't touched. The battery group displays a lithium battery, but the group is organized from low-tier to high-tier. Perhaps that could use a tune-up, though
Dr. Boomtastic 27 Sep @ 11:32am
1.7.4 update for today may have messed up some block IDs...
when lithium battery is selected it is displayed as acid battery and when large merge block is selected shows as round piston... don't know about other but thats what I just noticed
@Space Ace i cant load my save on Apex Survival and i cant load IO on Fieldwork. its kind of need another person to upload the old version. or you cuold add a compatability patch or some other dude can..............................................................................................................................
Space Ace 22 Sep @ 11:27am
Amumu 22 Sep @ 10:31am
does this mod not include glass? trying to build ALGAE FARM, all i find is i need basic assembler but aint none to build whit this mod, cant find glass enywere sens i need 30 of em im kinda stuck =(
Chronos "Salty" Pliskin 22 Sep @ 5:44am
Any chance you could make the components from Scrapyard - Block Restrictions craftable?
Space Ace 21 Sep @ 3:21pm
@infra-dan-accelerator unit 84725 Yes, you are trying to load an updated mod for the latest version of the game on a game version that doesnt support these features. We do not have control over uploads, only updates, so this will be the only IO version available. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you
I tried an experiment with a world with JUST THIS MOD loaded on Fieldwork, and it failed to load. critical error. this rules out mod incompatiblity!
Leif 20 Sep @ 8:36pm
help i can see visually all the ors but when i drill them its only giving me stone
I dont really want to update and lose my save, but i also dont want to remove this mod. it wont load flat out, gives me an error on world load says it cuold not be loaded and all its assets are gone,i dont want to rebuild half my industrial infrastructure

Can you add the old version that is compatible with Fieldwork
Space Ace 19 Sep @ 6:56pm
@infra-dan-accelerator unit 84725 Any world loaded in Apex won't load on any previous version due to the new stats. That will happen even without mods
When i downgraded to Fieldwork, the mod wont load and my world has a lot of its parts in it,so i cant load my save until this is fixed (a lot of my other mods are not compatiable with Apex Survival)
Space Ace 19 Sep @ 12:34pm
@DEPLETED ARMAMENT If you have too many modded planets, or any mods that add voxels, you can go over the 128 voxel limit. IO has a handful of extra voxels we are looking into removing for 1.7.4 to help things like this, but its only a band-aid on a bigger "space engineers" issue.
Also, remember this isnt our mod. We just upkeep/fix/improve. The real credit goes to clockwork for making this mod in the first place.
AgitatedAlice 19 Sep @ 1:23am
Space Ace you are being a legend. All I need now is a wolf replacement mod that doesnt break survival because I dont like canine hurt noises or killing canines (which by the way are really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for survival IRL, an entire arctic expedition died from eating the livers of their sled dogs, generally carnivore meat is not very healthy or useful to the human digestive system, and killer space chickens would be way more hilarious to fight)
t.gordon68 18 Sep @ 8:57pm
@Depleted Armament Which tethers mod? I have "Tethers - Power Poles | REWRITE/MULTIPLAYER RELEASE!!" loaded, and I am not having any problems with algae or kelp crisps. If there is a different or better tether mod, I would be interested in looking at it. And, I agree about Space Ace's mods.
JackThaRippa 18 Sep @ 1:30pm
@Space Ace Thanks, btw love your guys' mod. I pretty much never play without it. Great job! only one issue I have. Are there ore textures for the custom ores? All I see is default asteroid rock when I find them, could this be a modlist issue on my end?
Space Ace 18 Sep @ 7:47am
@DEPLETED ARMAMENT. Ah, yeah you're right. I wasn't aware the Kit had that ability. You can blame me for that miss. :( Will be fixed in 1.7.4
JackThaRippa 17 Sep @ 11:24pm
Tried using this mod and tethers mod to get a base on moon start with the latest survival update and am unable to craft kelp crisps using the survival kit. The option simply isnt there.
t.gordon68 17 Sep @ 1:52pm
@Space Ace Yeah, we're running the L&L Fix. Everything is working great. We have crops growing and we're getting meat from wolves. I see lots of harvestable plants when I am away from my station (on Earthlike planet). So, my point is IO is quite viable with the Apex update. I'd like to have platinum more available, but... Overall our current experience with IO and Apex is good.
Space Ace 16 Sep @ 9:40pm
@t.gordon68 We are unable to update any of the Addon modules, only the core mod. Deep ores uses the outdated planet fauna so it won't be able to spawn food using that mod. Lock & Load is also breaking food, but the IO L&L Fix has FoodFixr built-in and should be fixing it
t.gordon68 16 Sep @ 7:39pm
I did some testing and found that IO works fine in the Apex Survival. However, if you add Deep Ores and/or Oil Everywhere the food bearing plants will not spawn. But I have Lock & Load and Better Vanilla Planets for IO and I'm not having any problems. Also, don't load Earthlike Animals; it kills your meat harvesting.
