Alternately, to retain functionality, change that one patch to:
<Operation Class="PatchOperationAdd">
<xpath>Defs/ThingDef[defName = "VPE_GasVent"]</xpath>
<value><designationCategory>ATHelixienGas</designationCategory></value>
</Operation>
Since the VE team removed the designation from the gas vent in the 1.3 update.

you can fix that error by removing the following lines:
<Operation Class="PatchOperationReplace">

from ATPatchHelixienGas.xml

I get the following error:

This mod just move the helixien stuff to their own tab. It doesn't add, remove, or mess with the actual content at all otherwise.

Does anyone know how I can add back the helixine vents? They were awesome and were removed because they lag. I dont mind the lag and just want them back haha

A nice architect menu mod.

One thing I noticed is that using "<li>Royalty</li>" and "<li>HugsLib</li>" in loadAfter (About/Manifest.xml) will probably cause an error, so I think it's better to use "<li>ludeon.rimworld.royalty</li>" and "<li>unlimitedhugs.hugslib</li>".

It just defaults to furniture category as per FurnitureBase def, simply do a <designationCategory Inherit=‘False’> and add the category you want to use.

@Oskar Potocki Feels like there's a story behind that, but oh well, was worth a shot... Also, I might as well report that the Gas Lamp, Sun Lamp and Floodlight are missing their <designationCategory> lines for some reason.

@Taylor7500 Finally! I've fixed all items that were refusing to get sorted into the tab, I just had to change the patching method. Absolutely every Helixien building should now be inside the tab.

I was afraid of that. The same happens in my case as well, but there's nothing in the original code that would cause that, meaning it has to be something related to the Vanilla Expanded mod itself, or a mod that patches it. I'll be checking with the mod authors to get that sorted out.

Thanks for the mod. However there are a couple of buildables still in the production tab in my game. Specifically the Hexilion smithy and the gas powered refinery.

While I personally didn't have a problem where it was before, it's nice to have a separate tab so I don't have to squint and look at it all. because when they all look similar/the same, it's hard to tell at a glance.

Much appreciated. And for forests, it's [HLX] Regrowth Biomes mods for the trees and some plants + Rim Universe Biomes for generation + [LTO] Terrain Overhaul for terrain and chunk textures + custom grass textures from... can't remember exactly which mod. Could be [VGP] Vegetable Garden, since it has some pretty nice plant textures as well.
