@KaraKobold, I installed it just now and it performed exactly as advertised for me. Maybe a conflict with another mod or corrupted installation?

@Firesolved i can surely try it. I am by no means trying to take any jabs at you atm. i love the hell out of this mod =P. I was saying, due to ASA the mod was likely not being updated =P. My apologizes about how i replied. Thank you for replying. Again, sorry about sounding rude with my reply, a bunch of other mods are more or less dead, with ASA being the new/main ark now >.<. Like placeable Spawn Regions has been a nightmare to figure out to get it working.

P.S. I don't currently have Survival Evolved installed, so I pinged everyone online in my discord server to see if anyone else is having this issue. Have you tried re-installing the mod to see if that fixes it? Sometimes things just break when downloading such a tiny mod.

@KaraGryphon The mod has almost 400,000 subscribers on ASE and 1.5 million downloads on ASA. You are the first to report any issue like this. When Wildcard stopped updating ASE, this mod was working as intended so there’s no reason to assume it just randomly stopped working, and no one bothered to report an issue since then. If you want to respond here or post in my Discord with info such as when you installed the mod, when you noticed this issue, what other mods your server runs, etc I would be happy to look into it. But until then, I’m going to assume it’s an isolated incident since this is the only report.

This mod is broken. using the potion dosn't fully register that its active until you log off then back on. you need to eat poly after and respawn so you can move again. with A:SA i suspect this mod will not be updated/patched to work correctly. i would love to see myself proven wrong, but for now, sadly our server will be removing this mod D=

I have a silly request. But it may not even be possible to do, I really don't know. A version of this mod that works exactly like this one but doesn't give you crafting skill levels it leaves you at level 1 like a normal mind wipe but gives you your levels back after a timer. Call it transfer potion or something, because when using mods like auto engrams it makes you character file too large and you get a Outgoing Reliable Buffer Overflow. But if you mindwipe and loose all engrams you dont get the error and can transfer smoothly. The same thing can be acomplished with a normal mind wipe but this mod remembers your stats prior to using the potion and restores them, would be a cool quality of life for clusters using mods like Auto Engrams.

@MonsoonHunter yes I published a test branch already so that I can test it in-game. I am just waiting for verification from CurseForge moderators. Once I'm able to test in-game and iron out bugs it should be available in full working condition within 24 hours.

Are you going to try and port this over to ASA

@wolok there’s several INI options available. one of them is:

EnableManualDeactivation

This option is false by default. If set to true it allows you to hold R when the buff is active and end the timer manually.

There is a mod guide linked in the mod description which covers everything.

Ok. If you also would like to provide a list of mods you’re using that would be helpful. There could be a conflict somewhere else. I take it you have no issues using the potion when you’re not accessing an inventory?

I just checked and it's working for me in singleplayer. I accessed the inventory of an S+ tek replicator and consumed a potion both from my hotbar and normal inventory. Both times I got the buff and my stats were all applied into crafting skill.

Thanks I was wondering if it was trying to apply the buff and getting a reference to the structure rather than the player under certain situations..

I have noticed if you have an crafting station inventory open for example the S+ Replicator use your hotbar to consume the Crafting Skill Potion your stats will not be adjusted and the buff is not applied to the player.

It will not work on default items. In the screenshot provided, that is a primitive longneck with base damage (100%) so it will not give you anything higher than that. Try using something that is ramshackle, apprentice, etc. quality and it should work fine.

If your crafting skill is being increased when consuming the potion but it’s not giving you a bonus on your items, something else is going on. This mod only swaps your stats to crafting skill temporarily and the rest of the process is vanilla ark mechanics.

Feel free to send me screenshots of the item you are trying to craft, what it gave you and your character stats so I can see exactly what’s going on. Maybe I’ll see something in those that will help. Not working for me? Everything I craft, result in normal quality, Im lvl 98 wich gives me about 1.1k craft bonus. Armor and weapons came as regular ones. Im not crafting from an engram.

You have to enable the INI option “EnableManualDeactivation”. There is documentation in the mod description on how to do this. Once it’s enabled, you can bring up the wheel you see in Syntac’s videos by holding R.

@Cayandria Yes, I talked to the CE:Races developer and was told that this is the setting that needed changed. I do not know how that impacts the mod but this is required to fix the compatibility issue.

@Firesolved I found the issue, when the potion wheres off it resets your crafting skill down to 100%, which would be fine in regular circumstances but since I have the corvus on my back, when I through him off it removes the amount of crafting skill bonus he was giving me, making it take away my crafting skill.

@Derp I do not know about either of those causing problems. I'm pretty sure the Corvus you're talking about is what Syntac has been using in his Caballus series on YouTube and it doesn't appear to be causing any issues for him. On the server I'm currently playing on I've recently used a regular non-modded mindwipe and a Crafting Skill Potion soon after and did not have any issues, so unfortunately I'm not sure what could be causing problems on your end.

@Firesolved I'm having an issue with the mod on my single player world, it was working perfectly fine for days but I used a regular non-modded mind wipe tonic to change some of my stats, and afterwards I used the potion to craft some blueprints, and when the potion had worn off I checked my crafting skill and it had gone to -12.9. I used another potion a little while later and once again when the potion wore off my Crafting skill had gone to -60 something. I am using some mods on top of it, the mod I think might be affecting it is the Animals of Atlas mod since I've been using the Corvus which also boosts crafting skill when on your shoulders. Let me know if you know anything about this please and thank you.

@Cayandria None that I'm aware of. Awhile back someone commented about the mod CE:Races having issues, but I spoke to that developer and there was a specific INI option for that mod they had to use to fix the compatibility issues. No one else has reported any such problems with other mods.

@Firesolved this is on a unofficial server. In single player i have no issues. I will try ur suggestions and let u know what worked, I had seen in this thread someone else also had asked about it, but there were no solutions provided. Thanks for the advise

@cassiearellano94 I was discussing this situation with a friend of mine and she offered these suggestions to share with you. you can try both of these by adding them to your Game.INI file.

@cassiearellano94 that is very strange and unfortunately I do not have a reliable solution for this because I have never encountered this before. I forgot to ask if this is happening in single player or on a multiplayer server? if on a server can you verify that others are experiencing the same issue as well? I am assuming it's single player, in which case the only things I can suggest are:

1 - try uninstalling and re-installing the mod. be sure to delete all files/folders in your ARK mod folder with "2307661303" in the name. the game itself is very buggy and sometimes just doing a clean install of things can fix it.

2 - if you are running other mods you could try swapping the load order and move Crafting Skill Potion higher in the list. I doubt there's a mod conflict but its ark so anything is possible.

@cassiearellano94 just to be clear, you can see the engram but are unable to learn it? or is it not showing up in the engram list at all?

@Firesolved the mod is installed on my server but I can't learn the engram. Do u know what may be causing this? My character is level 76 and have 200 engram points

@Theukon-dos I've played on multiple servers using this mod and have never noticed any performance issues at all. Lethal's reusable mindwipe may cause those issues with performance because it resets your points and in addition handles your engrams. My mod does not touch engrams, so when you consume a potion it doesn't have to process that information.

Question: Does using the crafting skill potion effect performance at all? I ask because the admin of the server I'm on had to enable the mindwipe cooldown becuase using the one from Lethal's Reusables cased a big lag spike, and I'm interested in suggesting this as an alternative if it wouldn't cause the same issue.
