That's strange, I haven't experienced that myself (but I haven't played that much with most of my own mods, apart from testing). It kind of sounds like a flaw in how the whole workshop system functions. Not that bad if it's limited to those few moments, but still weird.
A simple reinstallation fixes this, but still a little annoying.
Nevertheless, thanks for this nice mod!!!
Mods are simply for the game, PC or Mac shouldn't matter. I can't really help with how things work on a Mac, though. I think most people emulate Windows with Wine.

No, not possible, it's the game engine.

You should check out Deadly Stream.

Those are full body models, no seperate head, so you can't really use them as player head replacements.
