Yeah that happens with some weapons, I might come back to update the mod and fix it but I haven’t touched hat modding on years

Would it be too much to ask for a variant of this hat that is instead just a flair for the Sprint Hat please? That's the hat that is used the most in game so I would love to see the full outfit (dye+flair) most of the time too.

I think we narrowed it down to being some issue with streamlabs though idk what specifically causes this to occur

This used to happen to me when I had a bunch of mods installed. But nowdays that I only have a handful on it no longer happens to me.

maybe it doesnt like me using only the costume with the hat turned off in options ?

i always had this issue even when i never touched any mods or online before that
all other mods i ever installed worked fine except maybe two map ones which crashed on start but i deleted those

hmm yeah ok I see it, I'll give it a look on my end see if I can't recreate it, though I've never had this happen, the most I could imagine is it might be something with online syncing but given the fact it happened after a specific point was kinda weird

i have a vod where it happened check at 1 minute 40 seconds
also i only started using mods around arcitc cruise currently i only have 2 char mods and a michiru but the tanuki mod was broken without these two as well

this is the vod link i did set the fps to 60 cause its a custom level i did the challenge road but i can normaly run witn 144fps without issue
i also clean up old maps i beat from time to time so its not that many

How many mods total do you have? and if I may ask would you mind providing a list (here or dms works fine) I can't say I've had this issue myself but a conflict with another mod might be the case

im having pretty much game freezes whenever the costume is equiped every minute or so
im not using the hat just the costume i only use online mods and one costume mod which is the michiru one
other than that i have a few maps downloaded but the same issue was also present when i used this mod the first time when i was looking for tanuki or panda mods

What issue are you referring to? Some more context would help me greatly to fix whatever issue is being caused

yeah, I'm aware of it haha, I figured it would just be fun to leave in, you can do it for 22 seconds max, so it's more a "for fun thing"

Ah, the good ol' super jumps.

Step 1: Get this mod
Step 2: Use the "New hat" option in its config setting
Step 3: Try out the Tanuki Hat's ability
Step 4: Find somewhere you can bounce on
Step 5: Use the hat's ability and bounce repeatedly on that object
Step 6: Move out of the bouncy object while still bouncing and using the hat's ability

It will launch you up into the sky a certain height (usually very high) depending on how long you spammed the hat's ability on the bouncy object. I wonder if there's a limit on how high you can go.

That sounds possible. I also noticed a crackle with the speakers since the music would cut out then back in, it's a real situation of everything being halted for a second.
But hey at *least* it doesn't crash the game.

idk I haven't had too much time to look into it yet but I have plans to do so this week (finals been bothering me and I'm almost done with em), the issue sounds like a shader issue... not 100% but I will try to figure it out

I tried turning v-sync off with no difference not sure what else you think might affect it?
I imagine it's something related to the animation.
It's been a while but if I remember rightly the tanuki hat sorta makes you bounce on your tail? Is it because there's a lack of an elemental explosion kinda animation? Like the game just doesn't know how to handle it?
Not sure what's actually going on but as a suggestion perhaps changing the effect to like a little burst of clouds and leaves or other little visual effects could bypass the issue?

I've talked to the developer (Crash) and this is the official statement for the other (most left two options) for the hat (which are kinda broken)

I must agree as the "bug" actually enables some fun extra things like rapid jumping which launched the player into the air :P
