Stuck for a while > Go play other games - Back and complete within a few minutes
That's what occurred to me lmao.

This one is unfortunately annoying because it focuses on skill instead of intelligence.....I figured out the room in a few minutes but the cube keeps falling off the moving platform , lmao. Still a great experience nonetheless:steamthumbsup:

This one was genuinely pleasant. Great work!
The Anti-Ninja 29 aug 2022 om 10:42
The timing after the final move is a nice touch... The player arrives at the exit just as the cube floats in. Nice!

Wonderfull! I am proud about myself when I solve a Mevious puzzle, but how about creating such puzzles? Great work Mevious! Like the others, Barrier is a nice one.

I try so many times to stop the sliding platform in the correct position . your map always good.
Spider_Dawg 30 nov 2020 om 17:39
Awesome puzzle. When I got stumped, I just started playing around with the cube, trying to get it to the ledge but missing by just so much. How much? By the width of the moving platform . Then it clicked, although it sounded more like "aha" than a click. Much fun, more than enough to overlook the cube falling off the moving platform the first time.
Aneonen 17 nov 2020 om 15:44
Nice puzzle! Took a moment to realize that the cube would need to make the same trip I did.
vallibus 14 okt 2020 om 12:39
I just did, and like all of Mevious's maps it was a great challenge.

Mevious, you are brilliant. Love playing your chambers.
Tidus 15 sep 2019 om 19:19
You are simple the best!
Tidus 15 sep 2019 om 19:19
Very nice!

Mevious puzzle are always so great. You get stuck, but experience has taught that with patience the solution is made clear by studying the judicious use of portable surfaces. Time spent thinking "what could that be used for" is very productive. The only technical issue was that the cube would keep falling off the platform when I would drop it from the funnel. So, eventually I noclipped it there and then finished the solution.

Wow. Such a great one!

Once you get this you will feel stupid you didn't get it sooner! The sign of an elegant puzzle!
Mikeastro 28 jan 2019 om 14:13
Excellent puzzle; very elegant. Big thumbs up :]
tapmage 25 jan 2019 om 23:16
I played around 30 minutes a day for multiple days. Today I solved it in 5 min after I tried visualizing.

Yes. What Synovus said.
HermanitoII 22 jan 2019 om 13:11
Second time I completed this chamber, after a year or more... and again a challenge after forgetting the steps. Thanks for this superb work!!
beefhorse 8 okt 2018 om 21:56
Amazing
Jeff Albertson 28 jul 2018 om 13:47

Thanks everyone for the comments and for continuing to play my levels. :)

Nice, as usual

Brilliant puzzle. Quite simple really, but only once you have figured it out. Thumbs up and another one of your maps added to my favourites.

took some thought but got it eventually. great map!

Amazing puzzle, I struggeld for a while, but finally figured it out. This is what I love about portal 2: solving puzzles, that's what's is all about!
Synovus 11 mei 2017 om 7:01
It's one thing to make a clean chamber where every element is clearly distinguished without excess complexity and needless portalable surfaces. It is another thing entirely to consistently deliver chambers where the elements interact interdependently in ways that are so simple and elegant, yet require a high level of creative problem solving. Thanks for providing yet another experience that leaves me calling myself retarded for half an hour until it finally clicks and provides incredible satisfaction
HermanitoII 17 dec 2016 om 6:14
GFJ! It helps a lot thinking backwards in the solution. After failing in Amigo solving this one was a relief
PixelPerfect 24 sep 2016 om 4:18
Really good puzzle! Thumbs up and Favorited.
zigzagtenniscoe 30 aug 2016 om 21:02
Very nice map! Mildly difficult, did take me some time. At one point at the end I was wondering how I was going to do the next step if I couldn't shoot a portal from near the beginning area to get the funnel, but I realized I actually could because of that panel... nice. Got me there. Fun and clever. Continue the good work!
Special Agent Dale Cooper 11 jun 2016 om 10:35
Excellent map of medium difficulty. Without the description of the mapping competition it would have been much harder! Thank you :)
Petutski 10 jun 2016 om 9:00
You know an excellent map when you play it a second time and it is still great fun! Thanks!

ScubaDude 16 mrt 2016 om 8:18
I played this right after I woke up, and have a hard time concentrating on the game while also coming up with witty banter for my vast video viewing audience, so those are my excuses why it took me over an hour to complete this test chamber. Great work, Mevious.

... MY BRAIN!
perenec 9 jan 2016 om 11:55
Hohooo, hard one! But great. After one hour I had to turn off Portal, because I was tottaly lost and depressed:D And I tried to visualise in my head, how it could work backwards - from final position to starting position of the puzzle. Suprisingly it helped and after minute I had the solution in my hand. The other hand gave me nice facepalm. Good job, Mevious!! :)

are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mensa or what
N Twirl 18 dec 2015 om 14:20
This one was great (hardest I have played so far from Mevious)
Pamsy 23 nov 2015 om 17:44
Beautifully baffling. It's impossile, right? Except there's more than one way to get back up to the upper level. In the end game: you use both buttons to move the cube.
tu7650x 15 nov 2015 om 18:20
I solved this puzzle about 6 months ago and liked it so much that I added it to my subscribed list like all of Mevious' puzzles.

When I start Quickplay to play new (top rated) maps, it takes forever for the server to load the quickplay list (since it fails several times before finally loading it). That silly bug was never fixed. So in the mean time, I play my subbed maps while the server "warms up"...

So anyway, this map is so well designed that I had a hard time solving it the 2nd time around ( I had forgotten how I solved it 6 months ago... I played so many since then). That's how awesome Mevious's puzzles are.
captainj 18 aug 2015 om 21:04
Once again a wonderful challenge from Mevious. Like most Mevious chambers, if you are completely baffled and saying this is impossible, go do something else, run through it a couple times in your head and see what happens!! It's like a magic trick where it's only an illusion that the puzzle is difficult. Mevious puzzles always have a very simple solution, it's only finding it that's the hard part. Persistence pays off with a feeling of accomplishment. The best Portal has to offer is here! How does he do it??? More like this please....
Doofi 13 jul 2015 om 5:08
I cant believe it, I made it !!!! :)))) wooooooh
Shepard 5 mei 2015 om 6:25
Another great chamber by Mevious! Took me quite a bit (~1 hour), but finally realized the logic tricks necessary.

I am always a fan of your naming conventions - they are as devious as the chambers! "Barrier" refers to so many different aspects of this particular chamber, and perhaps to the mental barrier one has to hurdle in order to get that darned cube to the other side.

Great work.
