Where courtiers once paid daily calls;
Bleak haunts where weeds and willows scarcely thrive

Whilst cobwebs shroud the mansion's gilded beams,
The cottage casement with choice muslin gleams.
Would you of perfumed elegance recite?

Coffers with gold and silver filled;
