Doesn't matter if you own the first one or not, you can play the L4D1 campaigns in L4D2 anyways:

All of L4D1's campaigns (And Cold Stream) Saferoom music is located in:

Steam/SteamApps/common/Left 4 Dead 2 /left4dead2_dlc3/ sound/music/cpmusic

This was mostely made for L4D2, I don't own the first one, only on the 360, so I'm not sure if I can do it

Why does it only work on L4D2 ones? You don't know how to make ones for L4D1 or L4D1 Finales? I can help, if so.
