Is there a way to disable the biome lock on plants? Or a way to edit the mod personally to do that?
Lobanych 18 Aug @ 6:00am
Uh hey, i have a bug for you, my beet field stood all winter and did not grow by a fraction of a percent. What the hell? in 1.4 everything worked as it should
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 15 Aug @ 5:08am
We don't provide any compat with Seeds Please
csc001 15 Aug @ 4:48am
@dannyhou13 same issue,I have poplar, pine, and peach tree seeds in my storage, and the planting menu never has a planting option .then,I've turned off the seed requirement for each plant in the seed please settings. But the planting options still don't have some trees in them...,
dannyhou13 9 Aug @ 9:08pm
That's so sad. I am using seedsplease and buy some fruit seeds at that high price only to find it unsowable QQQQQQQ
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 Aug @ 8:09am
I mean, duh XDD
dannyhou13 9 Aug @ 6:42am
Is extreme desert inhabitable for every type of fruit trees?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 4 Aug @ 1:14am
That doesn't happen to me
Meefreese 4 Aug @ 12:22am
Tiny issue i noticed: beets are ungrowable. I have a colonist with 15 planting skill, and she cant seem to plant them at all. Strangely thoough, colonists with less planting than her will get a promt that theyre too low leveled. But for her, that prompt doesnt show.

I tried looking in the logs and i dont see anything out of the ordinary or any errors regarding this, so, unfortunately all im left with is just making it aware here.

No.

Does this mod prevent you from designating normal soil as growing zones?
gRaveyard 30 Jul @ 2:46pm
I noticed a small issue with Tilling soil: It doesn't grant XP! When I first saw Tilling, I originally thought that this was a neat feature to have lowtech colonies generate the expertise they needed to farm efficiently, while making sure that such a scenario would always have access to sufficient nutrition. It struck me as a very elegant solution.
Turns out it doesn't count, and I'm not sure that the large amount of work-time that goes into tilling is really worth it?
ANIKI 26 Jul @ 6:15am
My Pawn got food poisoning when he ate a raw orange, in the description it says that it happened because "dangerous fruit" What the hell
Grimrist 21 Jul @ 10:03am
I don't know if it's just me but tilling soil doesn't seem worth it at all. It takes so long to do even with high enough planting skill and doesn't seem to give any exp at all. Am I doing something wrong here? Still absolutely love the mod and its additions, thank you!
SFH 17 Jul @ 1:01am
Yeah but i don't remember any mod that requires More plants, if i find a mod that i like, and it requires some other mod i install requirement too. Because of this reason im a bit confused which mod could cause these errors
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 17 Jul @ 12:56am
Still, you have a mod that is assuming that mod is there. That's a problem with the other mod, it should check if More Plants is installed
SFH 17 Jul @ 12:47am
Alrgithy, i added More plants too, and now all of those red errors is gone, even tho i never tried to use that mod before, well i guess it works.
Thanks @Sarg Bjornson
SFH 16 Jul @ 2:18pm
Im using "Plants Expanded".
Don't have "More plants"
I know that mod called "tractors" :
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3276694110&searchtext=tractors
This one requires Plants Expanded, so im using tractors too, i don't think any other mod requires this one.
Its weird
I guess im gonna try to add More plants tommorow and see what happens
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 16 Jul @ 1:39pm
You don't have Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants, yet there is something in your mod order that is trying to access content from it.
SFH 16 Jul @ 1:13pm
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 16 Jul @ 10:42am
Since you are not giving me Hugslib log, I have no idea which mods you have
SFH 16 Jul @ 9:53am
Hello, just wanted to ask, i get a lot of red errors with this plant extended mod:
Just error file: https://pastebin.com/9kP2aPX7
Entire log: https://pastebin.com/Bkt6eAkQ
Screenshot: https://imgur.com/gallery/error-log-plants-extended-combat-extended-bdevn33
im using combat extended too, so i think because of that, but have a big modlist, but this is the only one that adds new plants.
Sellouie 15 Jul @ 10:26am
Someone, please tell me the mod in which modular hydroponics and plant boxes appeared, I thought they were in this mod, but I never found them
AJarOfDirt 12 Jul @ 2:00pm
Any chance of allowing tilled soil on rich soil? Maybe with a smaller fertility bonus? Mostly just for a consistent appearance on fields.
Miss Spookers 2 Jul @ 4:11pm
Okay! So I know we're abandoning realism from the Q and A section, but I do have a request that is entirely based on my unwholesome obsession with tomatoes and the desire to live in space at the same time!! Can we has hydroponic tomatoes?

Maybe not like my own meat space hydroponic setup experiences... because those obnoxious red orbs of delicious require far too much light and I'm paler than a sheet of printer paper in a snowstorm, but I like tomatoes.
Can has soil-less space tomatoes?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 24 Jun @ 11:53pm
Tilling fungal gravel would destroy it and make it unusable to grow mushrooms
Mutalith 24 Jun @ 11:21pm
can you till fungal gravel and if not is that something that might be added?
Mezzo 20 Jun @ 5:22am
Chiming in with the issue with the tilling soil order.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 18 Jun @ 11:19pm
It doesn't
Desdaemonia 18 Jun @ 7:45pm
Mod seems to oddly break Expanded Meme Scrapper Junking ability
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 17 Jun @ 10:33pm
No, that's unwanted
0ggy#InDuckted 14 Jun @ 8:53am
Tilling the Soil isnt based on the planting skill...

My plants specialist takes forever to till one tile.
will there be a fix? :)
ShiningKatana 9 Jun @ 9:11am
Hey! Just wanted to point out that the graphic for tomatoes says they need fertile soil, when its actually beets!
WDLKD 25 May @ 7:28am
Hi. First off, great work Sarg and Oscar, love the mods.
Second, i have a SMALL suggestion and i THINK this is the right place for it. I'm playing a tree worshipping colony this time around and I've noticed some things with the game that i never have before. As you know, tree worshippers hate cutting trees, obviously. I planted a bunch of bamboo thinking that would be okay since bamboo is a grass, but the game comsiders it a tree. I think changing bamboo from a tree to a grass would be a reasonable and vanilla change. What do you think?
Dracon 23 May @ 4:32am
Has the tilled soil been removed or did I just mess up my mod list?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 15 May @ 12:40pm
Yeah, they are big
The Bard of Hearts 10 May @ 11:24pm
I don't know that it's this mod causing the issue, but whenever I try to select from among the list of plants to grow, the selections all disappear, leaving the menu blank and barren, when I try to mouse over anything. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue? I have too many mods to name, but I thought this might be a good place to start. Thanks for any help.
seraphonica 28 Apr @ 11:26pm
@PET, maybe check your bills on your stove? I've noticed sometimes, especially when hot-swapping mods on a save, things are integrated but not necessarily selected for active use. Hope this helps! And make sure not to hit "allow all" to fix it if that's the issue, or your colonists will be retching at the raw fungus and human meat that may get mixed in.
DaniAngione 25 Apr @ 7:56am
So, I don't particularly mind having to manually re-order tilling the ground, but I was slightly annoyed by how long it takes and decided to just not care for a year...

Turns out I've actually managed to do one or two more harvests (depending on the crop) regardless of the reduced fertility, simply because of how long it takes to till all the ground... So I have a small suggestion: It should probably require way less work (or boost the fertility a lot more)
With the current numbers it's more worth it to not till the ground at all if you have a lot of farms, the time it takes is just insane!
тетеря, блин 23 Apr @ 12:18am
does it work well with Seeds Please?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 21 Apr @ 6:38am
No
PET 21 Apr @ 5:24am
Not sure what the problem is, but I have tons of Tomatoes, Beets, Cabbage, etc... and it just seems to be ignored in the cooking process. Any ideas why?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 20 Apr @ 11:09am
Why would ANY other mod add plants from this mod to biomes?
jupiterLILY 20 Apr @ 11:04am
Ah, so I just spent a day debugging my issues with the choose wild plants mod and I've realised my issue was because of how plant and biome mods have been patched.

The issue is in the logic behind the patch operations, people are going for PatchOperationAdd when really, best practice would be to check if it's already on the list with PatchOperationConditional first.

At the moment everyones just adding stuff to biome plant lists and it's causing bugs.
gazza_m_bolton 16 Apr @ 4:19am
OK thank you for clarifing.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 16 Apr @ 4:09am
We don't want that
gazza_m_bolton 16 Apr @ 4:08am
Is it possible for this mod to add an "Auto till" button to the fields you place so can be ticked or not like the harvest button?
vandalism 13 Apr @ 1:25pm
On here it doesn't say that this mod requires the vanilla framework expanded, but Rimpy is saying that it does. Can this mod be used without vanilla framework expanded?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 12 Apr @ 1:37pm
No research in this mod
