The Plant 3/set./2022 às 22:37
doesn't seem i can build on marsh water. shame.
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 11/out./2021 às 9:03
Fixed :)
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 11/out./2021 às 9:01
Ah that's my bad, seems Mod Manager changes the Package ID when making a local copy. I'll fix that now.
Flixbox 21/set./2021 às 12:37
Yeah, my mod is no longer in the list due to the most recent patch. It has to be manually re-added.
Frank 20/set./2021 às 22:47
PackageID: lurmey.foundations_copy_copy, why the change? RimPy is tossing errors and trying to download something that isn't there any more
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 20/set./2021 às 8:44
Updated, added Generic Wooden Foundation back when Expanded Woodworking is loaded as some trees (particularly those added by ReGrowth) use this generic wood.
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 17/set./2021 às 9:39
Updated for 1.3 :)

@TurtleShroom: Foundations are added as a terrain type rather than a floor as there are only these two layers available. It sounds like your changes have made the foundation occupy the floor layer so they have to rip it up to replace it, but this reveals the mud underneath which won't support other floors.
TurtleShroom 8/set./2021 às 11:33
Sometimes, when I try to build Floors over my Foundations, a Pawn will rip up the Foundation and then fail to lay down the floor. This happens particularly with Concrete Foundations that are edited to go over Mud. Why?
Konkursipe 7/set./2021 às 3:13
PSA: This mod works just fine with 1.3
TurtleShroom 31/jul./2021 às 18:54
Please consider updating this Mod if you can.
1337 Kiwi 17/jul./2021 às 21:29
Please update to 1.3 when you have time thanks.
OptimusPrimordial 30/mai./2021 às 22:58
Does this support concrete from Expanded Materials - Metals?
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 28/fev./2021 às 2:33
Updated for 1.2. No changes needed, if you encounter issues please let us know!
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 28/fev./2021 às 1:26
@ELLIOTTCABLE#2718; I use it alongside Fertile Fields, and the appeal is that it's a lot quicker and cheaper to put foundations over an area than to terraform it. Terraforming is required for things like farms, and to make good-looking outdoor areas, but for a quick and dirty building, foundations are much easier, and require no research.

Detecting the presence of Fertile Fields is easy, but patching Fertile Fields' terraforming operations is practically impossible from my side. The foundations are already designed to be cheap.

You shouldn't be able to build Concrete foundations on marsh, that's what wooden foundations are for. But if you need to build heavier, you'll need to do some terraforming. Concrete foundations are mostly for looks and immersion, wooden foundations are practical, but both rely on terraforming of some kind to really pop.

I do appreciate the idea, and the thought put into it! I'm afraid I'll be leaving the mod as is, however. :)
fatburner 28/dez./2020 às 15:28
why not update this
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord 23/out./2020 às 14:12
It may be out-of-scope for this mod; and I know a lot of mod authors are of the "if you think it's unbalanced, just don't use it?" mindset — but this mod integrates well with Concrete for Fertile Fields and, thus, Fertile Fields' terraforming features. However, when installed alongside that, those terraforming features are … well … right there; so it sadly makes this mod feel less useful.

Perhaps, when this mod is installed, and you detect Fertile Fields installed alongside, you could disable / remove / correspondingly increase the cost of terraforming away from marsh etc? Or reduce concrete foundations to compete? That'd offer a nice trade-off between "put in the work to fill in the marsh" vs "drop some concrete on top of it."

Just a thought!

Works for me on 1.2
fatburner 5/set./2020 às 8:29
GREAT MOD
Spanks 3/set./2020 às 13:24
@Paolini Thanks, but I worked it out. For some reason I had to deconstruct pipes that were running through those tiles (pipes from Dub's Bad Hygiene). Once they were deconstructed, I was able to finally remove the wooden foundations.
Paolini 3/set./2020 às 0:24
@Spanks Masterson you can use dev mode to change those 3 tiles to deep water and back to soil
Spanks 24/ago./2020 às 21:57
I placed a bunch of wooden foundations down in some marsh but have since decided to terraform that area. I went to remove the wooden foundations (and successfully removed most of them) but there are three tiles of wooden foundation that simply won't be removed. I click on them, but the tiles are still never set to be removed. Is there a way to edit a file to remove these three foundations? They're in the center of my base and it's a real pain.
iforgotmysocks  [autor(a)] 17/ago./2020 às 12:28
Probably soon, but the 1.1 version should work just fine with 1.2. Please let us know if you encounter any issues.

Thanks guys.
FlorestNerd 17/ago./2020 às 4:37
when will it be updated?
Karma Drak 13/ago./2020 às 9:28
1.2 compatible?
Gryphonheart 6/jul./2020 às 12:12
Awesome! Now, I just posted another conflict in floors are light. Nothing major but do check it out please ;)

Gday mate!
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 6/jul./2020 às 10:26
Fixed the conflict with Simply More Bridges! :)
Gryphonheart 5/jul./2020 às 14:34
Good to know thanks for the info
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 5/jul./2020 às 11:25
Well, you weren't entirely wrong that it involves Foundations! It indeed is a conflict between Floors Are Light and Simply More Bridges, but the conflict only matters when Foundations is present, as it adds terrains that require bridgeable that are intended to be built on with floors using Floors Are Light. The issue is that Simply More Bridges patches a method to prevent players from building on top of any terrain that requires bridgeable affordance, which normally is just bridges.

So you can see, it's not really directly a conflict? Simply More Bridges fixes something that should really be in the vanilla game, but that unintentionally applies to Foundations too. We've tried fixing it on our end, but we may need to speak to Mlie to have them fix it their end.
Gryphonheart 5/jul./2020 às 10:10
Ahh. You're better at testing than me then ;)
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 5/jul./2020 às 6:36
Alright, a little more testing reveals that the conflict is between Simply More Bridges and Floors Are Light, not Foundations. I'll update the description of FAL to reflect that, and we're working on a fix!
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 5/jul./2020 às 5:58
I've just done some testing and spoken to my co-author, both mods do prefix the same method but we're only changing the method if a def of our respective mods is targeted, so they shouldn't conflict. And indeed my testing shows no conflict. Are you sure it was Simply More Bridges (Continued)?
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 5/jul./2020 às 5:13
Oh? Thanks for the heads up! I'll look into this.
Gryphonheart 4/jul./2020 às 17:57
Just an FYI for everyone, the mod simply more bridges (continued) conflicts with this and makes the foundations have bridge like properties. So don't use both at the same time.
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 28/jun./2020 às 10:33
:D
Remor 28/jun./2020 às 10:21
awesome! now i don't have to use those OP terraforming mods!
Gryphonheart 25/jun./2020 às 18:00
Yeah it is. Awesome work mates! Thanks!
Lurmey  [autor(a)] 25/jun./2020 às 17:41
@Mirox Blightbringer; Thanks! Yeah, we know that the remove floor designator works on foundations too, but we figured it would be okay since it also works on vanilla bridges. :P
Gryphonheart 25/jun./2020 às 16:53
Alright. did a quick test. Works perfectly. BUT, i can still remove the foundations with the remove floor command, as well as the remove foundation command. It doesn't cause any problems at all, but i figured you might want to know if it wasn't what you intended. You could leave it as is since removing a floor built on top of the foundation only removes the floor and not the foundation. So you actually need to use remove floor on the foundation itself to remove it that way.

So not a problemm just two ways to remove foundations is all. ;)
