MOD makes it unable to place power station.

oh never mind, IT WORKS the problem was that the game allows for only one mod to run, I guess depending if it uses a dll or not

It would be nice to be able to use this anywhere like how the walls are placed in the original C&C Tiberium Sun & Firestorm expansion. It is usable as is but only if you are building walls around existing structures. If for instance you want to build a wall away from your base then it reverts to the original way of building walls block by block, if that was changed so that the wall could be built anywhere as long as it started near one's structures it would be quite excellent :steamhappy:

this seems to be broken to me i put one wall down next to the building then i tried to put another wall down about 4 tiles away but i cant even tho the tiles in between them are white it still wont let me place a wall half the time because its showing as a red tile, why isnt it working all the time with any amount of distance?

It works, but only if you build next to your existing buildings. I think everyone would like to have an option to build it anywhere - for example 5 pieces to any direction, no matter where your buildings are...

Modern Wall Building has been updated to work with the new patch.

Please be aware that C&C Remastered does not automatically sync mods, so if you see a "DLL Version" error you will need to follow these instructions from the official patch notes:

* Disable the mod in the Mods Menu

* Unsubscribe from the mod in the in-game Workshop Mods menu

* Quit and restart the game

* Re-subscribe to the mod via the Workshop Mods menu

* Activate the mod and restart the game as prompted

* The updated mod should then work as intended

Yeah - to everyone having problems: This mod does not change placement distance rules. You still need structures to touch existing ones. It isn't perfect, but it can be faster than one section at a time if done right.
One workaround is to build a length of Silos to extend your build area, then sell them once the wall is built.

Hey it is not working in the campign in a sense that the last wall of the row or column is red, so i must build one by one...

I had some request to make modern wallbuilding available into my mod.

So that I'm still very new to modding, I like to ask you, if you can tell me the ccps you have to change, the lines and the code you have to change/insert to get your mod working.

I think I figured out the reason so many think this doesn't work including myself. All of the pieces of the wall need to be touching an existing structure. Normally you can build a wall after the last wall, but in this case you can't. Try it next to existing builidngs and it will work. It makes it much less useful though.

Same as Derek, I can't get this to work either. It's literally the only mod I'm subcribed to, and the only one installed, but it doesn't work.

C&C Remastered only supports one DLL mod being active at a time. If you have enabled a different DLL mod (to change e.g. the tiberium growth, pathfinder, or building range) it will stop this one from working.

I can't get this mod to work. I have enabled it in the menu, and I've tried (left and right) ctrl+click, (left and right) alt+click, (left and right) shift+click, clicking while offering a sacrifice to the dark god Imhotep... nothing works.

This might sound weird but I think this addon actually disables the ability to stack productions. Its either this mod or the Hum-Vee name mod. Which is weird since I only have those two addons installed.

So, it does work. You need to essentially go through the process of enabling it. Options, mods tab and check it.

Now, im sure everyone actually knows how to do that since its pretty damn easy. Hold the right ctrl ( or left but i tried right after fiddling with it ) Your walls your building have to be *similar* to that of the screenshot to a degree. There is a method to the madness as well as a certain distance. If you come across a red box you went to far. It seems that if you're doing connecting walls it can't be any further then you'd be able to place a building. To extend it past whatever the limit is will result in only a single wall.

So, building a long line of walls is possible within the boundries of the base. Want further walls? Use Silos to extend em and then sell the silos. It does work though and ive been playing with it for quite some time.

Yeah, does not work in either campaign or skirmish, tried both left and right ctrl, holding in many different ways. and placing in many different ways.

Great idea, but doesn't seem to function in campaign mode, not sure what's causing it, it is the only mod I have active. Still need to try the Red Alert version to see if it's functioning.

Works fine but it should probably be mentioned in the description that first you have to ENABLE the mod in the Options menu and that also you can only build walls next to an existing wall or structure - you can for example surround a building (like in the description pic) but you can't build a long series of wall segments away from your base if there's nothing to connect them to.
So if you want to wall in the AI you still have to do it the old fashioned way ;)

If you're having trouble getting these to work, it's probably because you haven't actually enabled the mod yet. In the Main Menu go to "Options/Accessibility", then go to the "Mods" tab at the top, on the right. Check the box next to the mod you'd like to use, the game will then prompt you to Restart, in order for the mod to load up...
