essentialy you're just adding a sfx to play along the chucklefish splash art and that sfx happens to be a music
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 16 dec, 2022 @ 6:52
the music goes in the /sfx folder
the file goes in /cinematics/splash.cinematic.patch

I'm trying to get custom music to work but I can't seem to get the codes to work so I was wondering if you could tell me where I need to place the folder to make it register loading screen music

@likiwarble thank you very much, im thinking of adding some doom music for the load screen so i hope i can do this right
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 7 nov, 2022 @ 6:14
thats the entire code for the patch btw, just paste it in an empty txt file and rename it to splash.cinematic.patch and place it in the cinematics folder
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 7 nov, 2022 @ 6:07
Its very simple, first go to: /cinematics/splash.cinematic.patch, then do
[
{
"op": "add",
"path": "/audio/-",
"value": {
"timecode": 0,
"resource": "/sfx/cinematics/yourmusic.ogg"
}
}
]
Then go to: /sfx/cinematics and add your music in .ogg format

@Wolf Steele I gotta take a look at your mod selection. It sounds glorious.

Huh, nice. Thank you! @Lukiwarble

Just to be clear, at least 30 of them are costume mods from DrPrivateSkittles or Wardrobe additions. It adds up quick.
MegaMato 19 maj, 2020 @ 9:31
I have over 500 now and going strong. I do have slowdown though, I'm always trying to improve.
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 18 maj, 2020 @ 17:34
For example, in my case i had an imense FPS drop when i opened my inventory, after looking around for quite a while, i found that the amount of slots from my inventory mod was slowing things down, also that "Enhanced Storage" required the "Clear and Close button" mod.
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 18 maj, 2020 @ 17:31
The first step is checking when your fps starts to drop and what you were doing to cause that fps drop.

The second step is to have your "starbound.log" ALWAYS open when playing the game, the errors appear there and you can have a pretty good idea of which mod it was by the name of the file that crashed.

The third step is to check your subbed mods for any that change what you realized in step 1, usually filtering the list by most recent subscribed or recently updated.

And for last, try to remember if your game worked fine before installing your mods. That helps narrow things down in the mod list.

Huh. Then why the fuck does mine stutter with 300???
Gimme your black magic
This is not a request.
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 18 maj, 2020 @ 11:50
To your surprise it actually works perfectly once you remove mods that edit the same thing
Kumi 18 maj, 2020 @ 11:48
@Lukiwarble bruh how the fuck do you even play with that many? Do you even HAVE a framerate?
Wolf Steele 18 maj, 2020 @ 11:01
well at least something to listen to while my 873 (+some non-workshop) mods are loading
Lukiwarble  [skapare] 18 maj, 2020 @ 9:28
I make it 7 minutes long and then my game takes 15 minutes to load. . . Great
